Description: The Butchershop Bar and Grill is one of Glasgow's most fashionable dining and drinking spots. With its stunning backdrop – Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery as its majestic neighbours – The Butchershop, based in the heart of the west end of the city, offers a very modern experience based on the good old fashioned steakhouse and cocktail bar concept. The contemporary interior of The Butchershop has a Manhattan-loft feel; all exposed brickwork and clean lines with old meeting the very new, creating the ideal setting in which to enjoy the rather fabulous signature cocktail list with favourites such as the Ratpack Manhattan and the Champagne Daisy, before settling in to the grill menu. Here the best 21-28 day- dry aged Scottish beef is served, butchered in-house by our chefs with a fabulous selection of equally good supporting acts including Loch Fyne oysters, fresh fish specials, braised lamb shanks and daily vegetarian options and much, much more...........

A Malbec wine was recommended to the table to accompany the steaks and that was a good choice; big and smooth. I had scallops to... More

Went here on Friday night, after it being recommended by a friend. The staff are attentive and pleasant, the food is top notch, and the atmosphere was great. It is on the pricey side, but you are getting what you pay for - the food is cooked to perfection. I had scallops to start, followed by the chicken. My boyfriend... More

I visited The Butcher Bar and Grill after reading some reviews on TripAdvisor a few days ago and had a brilliant time from start to finish. The atmosphere was great, everyone was very helpful and the service excellent. We had two good starters and followed that up with the house signature dish, which was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious.... More

We just went in here for a drink but decided to stay for a meal...glad we did! What a fabulous place...service excellent, waiter really knew what he was speaking about when recommending food and wasn't pushy, nor were none of the staff who served us. One thing that I loved was the fact that the menu was one page...not too... More

STaff are nice, location is okay, the food is just terrible. Four of us ate one starter was okay the other three were just badly made. All four of us had steaks but all had diffrent cuts. All four were cooked ok but the meat was cheap. It obviously wasn't from a happy cow or hung well. For the same... More

I enjoyed a steak dinner here last year after reading positive reviews on the internet. The atmosphere and service were good and the food very tasty. If you enjoy a well cooked steak go to this restaurant! More
