Description: The Butchershop Bar and Grill is one of Glasgow's most fashionable dining and drinking spots. With its stunning backdrop – Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery as its majestic neighbours – The Butchershop, based in the heart of the west end of the city, offers a very modern experience based on the good old fashioned steakhouse and cocktail bar concept. The contemporary interior of The Butchershop has a Manhattan-loft feel; all exposed brickwork and clean lines with old meeting the very new, creating the ideal setting in which to enjoy the rather fabulous signature cocktail list with favourites such as the Ratpack Manhattan and the Champagne Daisy, before settling in to the grill menu. Here the best 21-28 day- dry aged Scottish beef is served, butchered in-house by our chefs with a fabulous selection of equally good supporting acts including Loch Fyne oysters, fresh fish specials, braised lamb shanks and daily vegetarian options and much, much more...........

Having visited the butchershop 2-3 times before, we booked a table for our daughters 21st birthday. The quality of the food was exceptional, our steaks were cooked to perfection. I must compliment the young lady who served us, butchershop- she's a star. Thanks to all the staff who made our day special.

We had lunch here today after being recommended it by a few friends and really liked it. We both had soup to start (tomato) then I had the burger & my husband had a steak sandwich. Everything was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. I also really liked the decor and the general feel of the place. The... More

My wife and I visited for the first time and were very impressed. I am certain we will return when our appetite can do justice to the quality of the meat. We wanted a light lunch and opted not to order from the excellent set lunch - selecting instead steak sandwiches. They were great! Generous portions of great quality meat... More

The lunch menu at the Butchershop is excellent value. I had a caprese style starter but with Lanark Blue cheese, pork chop and mash then ice cream. My friends both had burgers, which they rated well. Must go back and have a steak some evening! The staff were smart and very friendly, and the music unobtrusive, which is always a... More

We had a great couple of steaks, cooked to perfection. Service was very friendly and attentive. Thought the pricing was good and really liked the decor. We would definitely recommend it.

Despite the nice website and reasonable menu eating here was a stressful and poor experience. Having booked ahead, then called when I got no response to confirm seating arrangements( one group member disabled) we arrived to find we were at an unsuitable table. Food and service was not above the average pub standard - an example of when the word... More

Went for the Sunday roast dinner menu here and was fairly impressed. Good quality food and restaurant busy which is usually a good sign. Pleasant service (if a bit slow) and good relaxed atmosphere. Relatively expensive menu but you get what you pay for I suppose?
