Good food and drink, friendly service, perfect for an after work catch up wiith friends, always a good experience!
The criterion is owned by the same people as Velvet Elvis next door and shares the same kitchen. It is quite retro in style and could have a great atmospheric quality, with several old style original booths. It is. Much more peaceful atmosphere than Velvet Elvis, but often feels the more neglected of the two venues. On the other hand... More
Have been here on a few occasions and consistently good food. Not fancy fare but great burgers and well priced. Quite popular with the locals and has a bit of vintage charm!
Popped in on 'date night' with the other half on Saturday. In comparison to Velvet Elvis next door the place was quiet, so we bagged a seat at the window and had a few drinks. Bar staff were friendly, good selection of drinks, not that expensive, the decor is great and we love it. Will be back again.
A great place to grab a bite to eat during the week or to have a lazy brunch / lunch at the weekend. Very very informal feel but lots of the food is big on taste. The fish and chips is particularly good!.
We've eaten here twice now and found the service good. Much of the food while quite simple is locally sourced and always very tasty.
We've been here with the kids loads of times for pizza and love it. We went on Saturday and the barman was strangely brusque when we asked for pizza's. Turns out these are now on the bar snacks menu and are only a fiver- maybe he was a bit annoyed that we were taking up a table for such a... More

Visited Saturday 14 Jan around 6ish. Rude, indifferent barmaid. Terrible service, despite the bar being extremely quiet. No music. No atmosphere. No return for us.
This is part of the Velvet Elvis, Pintxo stable and like the others, has a charming quirkiness about it. The booths are a great place to chat with friends and enjoy the wide range menu and fabulous cocktails. The external seats are always full during summer as we have often sat and watched the world of Partick go by whilst... More
