Mark and his mom are lovely. The food is also very tasty and the prices are reasonable. Adverts need to be clearer that they no longer offer sit down meals and that the hour for hot take away are rather limited.

The food is always great. Today's special was meatballs mash potato and carrots.. Wonderful.. Chicken soup to start.. Staff are always lovely. Thanks again.. See you soon.
I came in on Friday morning which is the busiest day of the week for every kosher place. I spoke with Doreen regarding what she can make for me for Shabbat since I have many dietary limitations. She made me so much delicious food that...I had a true Shabbat dinner thanks to her. I came back on Sunday and Monday for more. They also can double wrap for take away. Thank you so much! Prices are fair. Service is outstanding.More
Before visiting Glasgow with my family I'd read in the Jewish Forward about Mark's Deli, and how it is the only place IN THE WORLD that makes certified kosher Haggis. So I decided to visit, though it's a mile or two from the center of...Glasgow. I'm so glad we did! Mark and his staff really went out of there way to make us feel welcome, even though the didn't get there until the very end of what had been a very busy day for them (catering 3 local events!). We ate a delicious kosher parve and meat lunch, and bought a frozen Haggis that we ate the next night at our Glasgow AirBnB. The deli has a nice-sized eating area, with funny and interesting art and photographs on the walls. Enjoyed fried gefilte fish, smoked meat (pastrami to us Yanks), chicken soup (oh the chicken soup was sooo good), and Irn Bru. And the haggis was delicious as well! So delightful to enjoy Mark's hospitality and abundant menschlikeit!!More
Someone was talking about American corned beef (what we Brits call salt beef, not the stuff in tins only for emergencies) the other day and it brought back fond memories of New York deli counters. So I though, I know where I should find something...to remind me. As I was at a loose end, off to Giffnock I went in search of some corned beef on rye with a pickle on the side. I found Mark's. Of course, Giffnock is not Manhattan and Mark's is no Lower East Side deli counter but I did find my salt beef on rye with a pickle, and a side salad and coleslaw to boot. Not Manhattan portions either but that might have been a bit much to ask. It was good salt beef and honour was satisfied! It did seem very quiet when I went in – one family and two ladies-who-lunch – but it is a bit off the usual Glasgow track. It deserves to be better known. The menu was whisked away as soon as I ordered so I forgot to ask for cheesecake afterwards, if there was any. I did buy some strudel from the shop afterwards. It was very moreish. The staff – it looks very much a family concern but I didn't ask – were very friendly and I felt welcomed even as a goy as soon as I walked into the café. I loved the many Jewish-flavoured cartoons that lined the walls, even if one or two of them went over my head, and I'll be back if only to make sure I read them all.More
Mark’s Deli is not just a place to catch a delicious soft ( corned beef) sandwich or warm latke. You can fill up on groceries, read the numerous displayed jokes, catch up on a wee bit of history and get amazing recommendations of Scotland’s treasures...from Mark himself. I highly recommend it.More
Mark catered our Shul visit to Scotland. The food was delicious and well presented. Portions were large and everyone was happy. Very easy to work with and accommodated all dietary needs.
I've only been here twice [so far] once with my grandson and recently with two of my siblings. I've always wanted to taste kosher food, and Mark's Café/Deli did not disappoint. Both times I enjoyed lunch there. I like their [kosher] beef hot dogs [I...don't eat pork anyway]. & their hot beef sandwiches. I recommend it. I also bought some items from the Deli.More

This is the only Kosher deli in Glasgow and is located within Giffnock Village. Good food, nice staff, great service. Supervision under the Orthodox rite.
It was great to visit Mark’s Deli on a recent trip back to Glasgow. As always I got the Chicken Soup and Salt Beef Sandwich.
Mark the owner is extremely nice and the passion for food is very clear. The corn beef , soup, salad, challah, all fresh made from scratch and taste! The place is simple and super clean. Was visiting from nyc and read about this deli. Certainly...recommend it. Will Most definitely return soon.More
You've not tasted Falafel until you've tasted Mark's Deli Falafel - the secret falafel sauce is incredible! Mark's Deli is a bit of a hidden gem - well worth the trip to Glasgow's southside. I've enjoyed many lunches here and the food, service and atmosphere...has always been consistently good. Did I mention the Hot Salt Beef Sandwiches? This is the signature dish - you will not be disappointed! As well as the restaurant there is also a well stocked Kosher deli. Highly recommended.More
