Highly recommend this restaurant. I was greeted by friendly efficient staff, food arrived promptly and was delicious. I recommend the tempura prawn sushi. The place has a great atmosphere and with cool mood lighting and good music. more

NanaKusa is extremely nice. It is all together a fantastic place to go. The lighting is fascinating, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is amazing. The sushis are served on a variety of funky plates, well decorated and perfectly tasty. Strangely didn't enjoy the miso soup. The service is superb and the lady Manager is very friendly and accommodating.... more

We loved this restaurant. We went for their lunch deal, which with a few extras (including plum wine and dessert) came to around £17 a head. We liked the open kitchen, the friendly staff, the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. We found the food good value, well presented and tasty - our selected lunch deal included miso soup, salad,... more

Japanese is our favourite type of food and so we tend to be a bit over-critical but Nanakusa in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street has it nailed! The menu has something for everyone...We went with non-sushi fans who thought they would be pushed for choice but they (like us) wanted more than one thing on the menu! We had the sashimi and... more

Great food & service, my friends and I eat here at least once a month. I have been to Japan and it is as close as you will get given its Glasgow. I would recommend you try this place as no other restaurant can offer such good value for money more

I’m a Japanese food enthusiast and, after reading the good reviews here, decided to try this restaurant on our recent visit to Glasgow. Good Bits: Relaxed atmosphere. Trendy decor and obliging staff. Good selection of Japanese beers. The Kani Karage (soft-shelled crab) is nearly up-to-scratch – so they can batter. Bad (Warui) Bits: This restaurant is probably run by Chinese... more

Some friends and I tried NanaKusa and were pleased. It is certainly above average, but two of our dishes were not as expected. I ordered a noodle dish that had strong, fishy flavours and aromas normally not present in my experiences of the dish. My friend also found his dish to have an unexplained fishy flavour. The other two mains... more

My wife and I went on Valentines Day, we did not need to book but where told we could only have a table for an hour, that was fine given it was Valentines Day after all. The quality of the food was good, although quite expensive; don’t mind paying extra for quality, but felt was over priced. Overall not bad,... more

Nice atmosphere and staffs but the food ain't that great for a Japanese food lover like me. The food is considered average with various choices of set meals at affordable price. The sashimi is a wee bit too thin for my liking, the seaweed from the temaki is soft instead of being crunchy and the bento set wasn't very good... more
