Visited the Classroom in Nairn for a family meal and can honestly say it was excellent. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and the service continued that way. A mouth watering menu made the choice difficult but we settled on the fishcakes, 3 generous size tasty helpings on each plate, venison terrine lovely and a red pepper and goat... More

On recent weekend break to Nairn we found The Classroom where we were accommodated for an early-ish dinner despite not having booked. The surroundings and staff were great and the only criticism that I would have is that as a vegetarian the choice was very limited. More

Went for dinner with 2 friends, lovely menu, choice of meat, fish and veggie options, the service was friendly and efficient and not pushy. Lovely place. Would go again without any worries. There was also a lovely selection of specials, using local ingredients ... and the puddings were delicious, recommend the chocolate selection. £99 for 3 of us with beers... More

we hadn't been to the classroom in a few years but had a chance to have dinner there on a thur night recently. It's all very good ... lovely room, friendly staff and good and sometimes great food. For all 4 of us, our starters were excellent ... soup of the day looked and tasted genuinely home made with in-season... More

I am lucky enough to be have eaten at The Classroom several times and it has always been pretty good. However, when I was there at the end of December for a meal with my friends, it surpassed all expectations. The food, which is sourced locally, was absolutely beautiful, I couldn't fault any of it and neither could my friends... More

Popped in for my birthday lunch whilst visiting relatives in the area. The restaurant was packed, which was a surprise so soon after the Chrismas period, and also positive indication of the restaurant's appeal with the locals - always a good sign in my book. The menu provides a full spectrum of options from soup and sandwiches to three-course lunch/dinner.... More

The food and the atmosphere was lovely and has huge potential. Shame it was all let down by waitresses who clearly didn't want to be there, and gave the impression that they had better things to be doing. Maybe they're volunteers, and if they are, god bless them. But if i ran the restaurant and was paying their wage I'd... More

Had heard great things about The Classroom, so chose to try it on Boxing Day as a treat with family. Wish I hadn't bothered. The food was, in fact, very nice, although the duck dish was a touch overdone, but on the whole each dish was very enjoyable, although slightly overpriced. However, as a waitress myself in a very popular... More
