Always have to wait for a table, which speaks volumes. Had the lamb cutlets. Literally licked my fingers. Fab sav blanc too. Will be back
We ate and drank here while staying at the Old Ground hotel. This pub was filled with many locals, and some hotel guests. It was hopping! The food was REALLY good, and I felt slightly better than your average pub both in quality and presentation. The service was also great, and the atmosphere really fun! Check it out! Prices were... It was our last night in Ireland and we'd had lovely meals in many pubs and this one was very, very good as well. Service was excellent and the local, traditional music was great.
Having just got back from a few days in Ennis and a stay in the Old Ground Hotel, I have to say how excellent the Poets Corner is.A lovely setting and some of the most brilliant staff we have ever come across, they are very friendly, professional and you would get tired by watching them work, they dont stop and... This pub is very popular. The menu is interesting, and the food well prepared. Traditional Irish music at night. A good place to meet people who live in Ennis. It can get very very busy, and service naturally suffers as a result.

A great menu with well prepared and presented food. My husband had 'the best burger' of our trip and I had stuffed mushroom caps. Both were excellent. Wonderful,... More
We went here one night to hear the "trad" music. It was a lot of fun. We ate appetizers and desert. The cheesecake brought us back the next day. Waitress was great in picking out an Irish beer and we all liked it.
The selection of food would satisfy anyone and the amount and quality was the best. The Staff were quick and efficient and Jeff controlled the seating arrangements with a smile and small notebook.
I have eaten here on several occasions and have never gotten a meal that I did not enjoy. A lot of locals come here to eat and the most popular meal on the menu seems to be the vol au vent which is tasty, plentiful and i highly recommend. This place can get very busy so be prepared to wait... More
