I've been there a few times and the food has always been very good. The Chef/Owner is Ballymaloe trained and this is evident in her cooking & baking. There is a budget menu where you can get a starter, main course and desert and coffee for €25. The service is always with a smile. The only downside is the atmosphere,... more

This is an excellent plate to eat. The atmosphere is friendly, the welcome is warm, the service is excellent . The food is tasty, and well presented. I have eaten here a few times, and I have never been disappointed. The price is most reasonable, I would strongly recommend this restaurant. Good Luck. more

Came across this place purely by accident on a recent day out to Cork and my what an oasis in the desert it turned out to be. A very unpretentious and organic place. Very welcoming and most importantly the food was fabulous. Great food and equally a very professional service. Will definitely be back. more

After Reading all these reviews i'm starting to question my experience. While the fish cakes were homemade they lacked taste, the potato wedgies were definitly bought in. The Decor is very depressing and completely lacking character. The Wine list is very poor and could do with refreshing with a bit more thought. And as for the Personal introduction on the... more

It really is a delightful place, excellent food with a very thoughtful original menu and charming welcome from the owner. If only more people would recognize this hidden away great restaurant, and not support those terrible corporate restaurant bars offering mediocrity rather than quality. more

I 'm from cork, I went there for lunch, and was impressed by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The goat cheese tart was lovely and the rubarb tart delicious! and had even "life music", the waiter was singing along the song ;) Will definitly go back more

I'm from Cork and would highly recommend this restaurant. The owner is so friendly. You get a delicious basket of fresh homemade bread when you arrive, the menu is really interesting and varied and of a very high quality. Its fresh and tasty unlike many of the other resturants around which often serve up stodgy burgers and baps, this menu... more
