We had dinner at the Hardwood last week. The food was excellent. The quality of the food the cooking and service I could not fault.The staff were lovely very friendly and great service.We ate on a Tueday evening and the meal and a drink was 20 euros fantastic. I'm really impressed by these guys. One of only 3 restaurants in Cork City I really enjoy (The Ivory Tower and Cafe Paradiso being the other two). Go for the char-grilled squid-- it's gorgeous. From the moment we walked in we were treated to great service and a cozy friendly atmosphere. I guess the menu varies quite often, but they always use locally sourced ingredients in their dishes.
