We went to Patrick Guilbaud’s restaurant when visiting Dublin for a long weekend. Both food and service were excellent. Whether it’s your first or tenth time visiting Dublin, reserve some time for a visit to this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed. more

These comments are partially copied from my review of the Merrion Hotel because the restaurant meal was part of the package, but I have also elaborated a little more here. Patrick Guilbaud is reportedly the only Two Star Michelin restaurant in Ireland - but I was able to compare it with a non rated but comparable haute cuisine restaurant called... more

This is a wonderful restaurant to visit as a treat. Personally I can only afford the set lunch at €50 for three courses, but I would love to try the a la carte some evening. I've been a few times and the service is always flawless - you are made to feel special, a rare thing in Dublin restaurants of... more

We would not call ourselves Michelin diners, but we do love good food. I have never had food this awesome, however and I now have a new standard of excellence! (unfortunately, because I can't afford it!) The service was exquisite and the sommelier was spot on with his recommendations on wine pairings. The dollar/euro exchange rate at this time makes... more

Simply the best restaurant in Dublin. If you can't afford the pricy dinner menu then be sure to avail of the reasonably priced lunch menu. Don't miss it. more

Treat yourself to an evening that you will never forget. The food is incredibly fresh and cooked magnificently. The staff treated us like gold. In true European fashion, we began our meal at 7 and three and one half hours later we sadly had to leave this fine restaurant only to be escorted by one of the captains. As one... more

I cannot say enough about how great the food is, the Roderic O'Connor paintings are also a triumph to enjoy during your meal. Unfortunately if you are expecting polite, effecient service go elsewhere. Rarely have I experienced such disinterested service, I felt like my party was a inconvenient nuciance being processed by the restaurant. Server could not artculate any details... more
