the porterhouse in temple bar is amazing, wonderful beer especailly the strawberry beer, great atmosphere, good live music.... but the thing that kept me going to porterhouse every single weekend apart from the good beer, is the barman!!! they are very funny, ok they might come as a bit rude at first but it's their sense of humour.....very sarcastic but... more

This was my favourite pub in Dublin. Porthouse has three floors and several bars, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding a seat, nor do you have to wait very long to get a pint. Tried several of their homemade beers (Brainbuster and the red were quite good...well all were good, really). Live music, no cover. Beer was on... more

We were looking for some good beer and food and it's exactly what we found in the microbrewery pub. They have a really nice selection of beer. You won't have 4-star food, everything is pub-style, but they do it great. We had some chicken wings and oysters. Both were really good. It might be a bit noisy, but you can't... more

The beer and stout selection here is fantastic (and the chunky chips are very nice too!). During the day it has a nice relaxed atmosphere, and a good lively one during the evenings. Efficient, friendly staff. more

My wife, me & my 2 year old daughter went in this pub for some pizza. We'd seen a "buy one get one free" advertised on their sidewalk board. We ordered 2 pizzas & 2 irish coffees. The waiter was very friendly.....pizza was comparable to the excellent pizza we've had in Italy, with sundried tomatoes even on the margareta pizza.... more

Enjoyed the multi-level layout and bottles all around. First visit was late afternoon on a Friday, surprisingly busy at that time. Server was okay, friendly but busy and efficient. She remembered us when we returned the next night. First choice of food was not available, the burger I got instead was pretty decent. We shared 3 sampler trays to get... more

We stopped in for burgers and tried the beer tasting menu, which alone was worth the trip. They had lager, cider, and ale menus, and we tried everything! more

I went to the Porterhouse in Dublin's Temple Bar District with 3 friends under the suggestion from Time Out Magazine that was a critics' pick for food on 2nd of January, 2009 at approximately 7:00pm. There wasn't a place for all four of us to sit together so we sat at opposite ends of the bar facing each other where... more
