This is a great restaurant, and I once met the chef who is really passionate about food. Expensive but well worth it and great value for what you get. more

We had high hopes for this restaurant--had inattentive servers for our table of 4. Ordered many courses, wonderful bottles of wine--wine was great, food was very mediocre. One of the side orders you could add was a broccoli cheese combo--I asked if it would be possible to have broccoli without the cheese. The answer was unbelievable: "no, it is pre-prepared... more

I booked this restaurant for my husband's birthday on a trip to Dublin. I had mentioned in the email it was his birthday but didn't think anything of it. The restaurant is a subterranean treasure. We had gorgeous cocktails whilst waiting for our table, and then were ushered into one of the intimate recess tables for dinner. This was a... more

Chose this restaurant on a wettish evening simply because it was next door to our hotel and they could fit us in. What a delightful surprise. Not a brasserie really but a large subterranean stylish restaurant. Service was first class and in spite of their being full to the gills we felt well looked after. The clientele was elegant and... more

On recommendation of Dubliner, we had dinner at Pearl, an upscale Italian bistro on Merrion St. near St. Stephen's Green. Small and below street level, this restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. We were seated in a banquette in an alcove with a glass wall on one side and a very attractive aquarium on the other. The food was superb... more

My wife and I enjoyed our final meal in Ireland at Pearl Brasserie and had simply, a great dining experience. Located in a non descript building, this basement location is impressive. The multiple dining rooms are small, giving the diner an intimate feeling anywhere in the place. There are individual tables located in a few alcoves that would be a... more

Thanks to Tripadvisor, we made Pearl Brasserie our first evening out in Dublin. From beginning to end we had superb service and spectacular food. We made a short-notice reservation via the web and waited a few minutes at the bar before being seated for dinner. The bartender was top-rate, reflecting the attention to detail that we observed throughout our evening.... more
