In my recent (June 2009) trip to Dublin, I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Pearl. First, put aside any misconceptions about what constitutes a Brasserie, this is a polished, intimate, soulful, modern, beautiful little restaurant with an extremely polished and knowledgeable, friendly and no attitude wait staff, excellent warm front of the house and superb food. The staff... more

Based on the Conrad's concierge recommendation, we finished our Dublin visit with a dinner at the Pearl restaurant. Located in the basement, we were surprised with the elegant setting, beautiful tropical fish aquarium for color and atmosphere. The menu is heavily concentrated on seafood, but the Irish steak for the meat lovers is one of the best we ever had.... more

Now I know that is a bold statement, but I stand behind it. I contacted the restaurant for a reservation based on reviews here. Andrea and Julien were extremely considerate in trying to accommodate my special request for a romantic little alcove even though my request was at short notice. While never being able to guarantee it, they were able... more

We booked the restaurant for our first wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We both say it was the best meal we have ever had. We only got in thanks to a cancellation and were told the table would be needed by 9pm, but we didn't feel rushed whatsoever. Everything was perfect - the decor, the food, the service,... more

Had dinner recently with two friends as our Christmas celebration. As we did not book until the week before we cold only get a table from 7-9. When we arrived the place was fairly quiet but were taken straight to out table. The food was excellent and the layout and fittings in the restaurant are excellent. It was a lovely... more

My partner and I had dinner at the Pearl Brasserie yesterday evening. We like to eat out in Dublin on Friday night as a good way to start the weekend as I work away a lot. It was a major dissapointment. Don't get me wrong, the service was fine, the building has some lovely features, the wine was good (if... more

I rarely write reviews because I own a restaurant and I know how fickle reviews can be...typically from the general public. Everyone's palette is different and highly educated to boot. That being said, I felt compelled to write this review of my best meal in Dublin, by far. We showed up with no reservation and we hesitantly accepted two seats... more
