Had lunch here yesterday and the specials seem to represent great value, in truth the portion size was way too much for me but the pork loin was very nice as were the accompanying veg. Was as impressed with the traditional look, buzzy atmosphere and quick polite service. Recommended. more

Considering that this restaurant is really part of a bar the food is really good. Satrters are far too expensive, generally €9-€10. I can't speak for the food at The Laurels but the bar staff was attentive and the beer was cold and delicious. This was one of the only bars in the area that serve Kilkenny Beer so if you are in the area, go the The Laurels and try one. more

A true local gem! This place has personality, charm and quality in spades. What I really like about the place is that whether I am popping in for a pint or for their great food (try the Irish Stew), I always find there is a personal connection made. This is what Ireland is all about. more

We had a great evening in this really cosy pub whilst it was lashing outside. The food was really tasty and reasonable - I had the potato cakes which were delicious and good portions for the hungry. We discovered the Laurels and kept coming back for more! After going to the Laurels for after dinner drinks and desserts, we had to go back for more our last night in Killarney.
