The food here is absolutely amazing, the portions are BIG, the flavours are BIG and the personalities are BIG...I am a regular to the Wild Onion and the owner Ruth alongside her chef husband and the wonderful staff make dining there a great experience. My recommendations would be the Tuna melt, the vegetable omlette, the french toast or the eggs... more

I have eaten here many times. Good fun and tasty food. Standard American servings (Large) but good prices. Good atmosphere and the owners from Chicago (The Wild Onion) are always ready with a quip to serve you. more

staff are so lovely in this little joint....its extremely clean.Always very busy. its such a healthy eating restaraunt and very unique. if you dont mind eating next to strangers its definitly worth a visit!!! more

This place is one of the best things about Limerick on the weekend. It's located yards away from the excellent Saturday Morning market which is one of the best food markets in the country. The Wild Onion has a dedicated following so it's best advised to book ahead on the weekend or you'll likely be told to come back in... more

This is a very popular authentic American diner in Limerick, run by a couple from Chicago.
