Every time we are in Westport we cannot go past the Helm without having a meal! The food is amazing - the lamb from a local butcher in Lousiburgh and the fillet steak is just melt in the mount. The staff are so friendly and full of craic - can't wait to get back again!! more

This is one of my favourite eateries anywhere in the world! Its simple,plain and uses only local fresh ingredients.The place is always fully booked which speaks volumes in itself.Probably the best and most congenial bar in the Westport area always a great atmosphere and buzzing even in the winter months! The Helm is a fun place with a great staff. The place was packed and was entertaining. The food was good and no complaints overall. The crowd was a bit older (Monday night) but still a good time. more

The food at the Helm was superb - reasonably priced and served in good quantities. The fish is especially good - most of it is caught locally. Service was friendly and efficient and it's also a great place to pop into for a coffee in the morning when passing through Westport. more
