I am shocked by some of the reviews here. This is by far the best restaurant in Sligo if not the North West. Yes, as one reviewer whinged, there is a wait in between the courses but what a typical Irish complaint. The wait only adds to the experience. Love Montmarte, one of Sligo's finest restaurants. Excellent menu - and it changes regularly; really good service - excellent wines and plenty to choose from! Nice relaxed athmosphere. more

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and was disappointed with the reviews on the website. I love this restaurant - in all the places I have ever been I still rate this as my favourite. Our large family and extended family group had dinner at Montmartre in July 2008, and loved it. Our relatives who live in the area made the reservations, and the restaurant accommodated our group, consisting of over 20, varying in age from 18 to mid-60s. I had heard a lot about 'The Monmartre' in Sligo so felt let down by the experience.To start with the atmosphere is lacking and not helped by views of a car park.
