Great Sunday lunch today at the Plough with my family. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff. Great portion sizes of dinner and desserts. Staff and chef/kitchen staff came out to see if everything was ok, which it was! Will definitely be coming back....Thanks again 😊More

If a friendly local traditional pub, in a great setting, is what you're looking for. Than look no further. You have plenty of seating outside so you can enjoy the beautiful village like setting, and if you a dog walker there are water buckets outside...to keep them happy too. The staff friendly and helpful, and it's a relaxed and friendly pub in general. With a wide variety of locals from young and old all enjoying a drink or food in there. Speaking of food, it's a good price and good quality, with enough options for anyones needs. Highly recommended.More

Fantastic evening celebrating a family member’s birthday. The staff are so friendly and welcoming they even put a banner up which was a nice touch. The pub is traditional and full of character nice it’s not been changed. I had scampi and chips which was...lovely and good size and my partner had lamb shank which was excellent to. Definitely be going back soon.More

A great traditional pub with good freshly cooked food. We had a family birthday lunch and the table was decorated with Happy Birthday banners. The staff were so friendly, helpful and efficient. Good Gluten Free selection too. Made for a very enjoyable occasion.

We visited here whilst staying nearby ready to fly out of Gatwick the morning after. Our hotels restaurant was unexpectedly closed and so we got a cab here without booking a table. When we walked in unfortunately every table was taken and so we decided...to go back to the hotel and see if maybe a takeaway would deliver to our hotel instead. I was sad as the pub looked lovely and the food looked delicious. We walked outside and tried ordering a cab back to our hotel but there was a bit of a wait, so we went into the bar side and asked if we could just have a drink whilst we waited for a cab back (there had been a private party in the bar bit). The man behind the bar exclaimed 'oh good you've come back! We thought you'd left and we'd missed you - Come back round, we have made a table for you!". It was SO nice of them to do that for us, and so off we went round to the main bar. Every single staff member was super helpful, and let us know there might be a bit of a wait for dinner as they were busy but that was obviously fine by us. The food and drinks were both lovely, and the staff were brilliant. This pub is a real highlight for the village, the atmosphere was lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to go back but next time I would book in advance :-)More

Staying at a caravan site nearby, this was recommended as a nice place as we had family visiting. Booked a table, and glad we did. The place was busy but not quite full. Friendly welcome even though we are not local, but it had a...friendly local feel about it. Lovely menu, lots of choice and varied too. Lunch menu includes sandwiches, baguettes and light bites. Other special choices are pie of day, veg option and 2 others (boar and pork sausages were gorgeous). Plenty to choose from to please all tastes. All meals were lovely. I would recommend this to anyone in the area but might be worth booking as not sure how busy on an evening. The car park is at the back which I think gets used by others so we had to park on a nearby road, but it was fine. Worth a visit any day.More

We are a large family and decided to enjoy a festive meal this year.. Excellent service and to cater for 24 of us at a busy time was appreciated. The tables were beautifully dressed. Everyone enjoyed the meal. I will add my prawn cocktail was...the best I have had, generous portion of shrimps. Thank you to the friendly staff. Happy 2023 to you all.More

Me and a friend just came across this pub whilst walking in the area and did not have a booking but were warmly welcomed in by what appear to be a husband and wife team. I had the steak pie and it was delicious and...appeared homemade. I actually couldn't make a pudding with how full I was. Bar was busy for midweek lunchtime so clearly popular with locals. A great find.More

We ate here the night before flying out of Gatwick. If I'm honest we picked it as it was the nearest place with food. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and it wasn't hideously expensive. My only disappointment was the food. It...was nice, it was cooked properly but it was clearly out of a bag and cooked from frozen. The pub advertises its home cooked food so I expected better. Having said that I wouldn't hesitate to visit The Plough again.More

Myself and my partner came here for a meal on the 30th july as we were staying in Crawley for one night before jetting off to Jamaica. I have got to say how delicious the food was. We both had the chicken and mushroom pie...and mash with veg and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the food is homemade and you can really tell and the portions are big! All the staff were very friendly. We would definatly reccomend here to anyone.More
