In a town famous for its restaurants this small establishment stands out for quality of food and service. Booking in advance seems essential as they only cater for one sitting. The menu is small but excellent and the chef's desserts are worth saving space for. Not the cheapest place to go but not the most expensive either. No complaints at... More

I invited my partner for a romantic dinner at this restaurant. We had eaten there two years ago, while staying at my mothers house in the Bergerac area. I had a good memory of the last time we visited Le Saint Jacques and expected it to be good. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to eat anything. When we... More

We ate on the terrasse at the back which was full of character, created in the space between the buildings but very plasantlly decorated. . The service was excellent and very friendly. The owner, who served us, really wanted us to enjoy the meal. The menu had seemed limited but there was the 'Menu Surprise' which is the chef's creation... More

This is one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. Went with a group of friend 6 in all, ordered chicken for main course, didn't fancy much else on the menu,, it took a long time to arrive when it did it was inedible, raw in parts, for the first time in my life I sent it back which... More

We were touring through France and on 13th May, we arrived in Bergerac and made our way to the old town. We didn't fancy what looked like a pizza place in the small square and more or less stumbled on Le Saint Jacques. It's on the street off the little square behind the statue of Cyrano De Bergerac. From the... More

I trust Trip Advisor reviewers and recommended this restaurant to my partner. Wish I'd kept my mouth shut Can't help feeling the excellent reviews given here are something of an exaggeration. It was OK. Nothing more, nothing less. The setting is very charming, and so was the service - it was belting with rain and the chef had to hold... More

This family-run restaurant is well presented. An attractive interior with an open kitchen. The service was excellent, and the dinner equally so. More

23 May 2010 Today we spend a wonderful lunch time enjoying some excellent food served by the most hospitable of hosts. The shaded terrace was really welcome in the hot sunshine. It is such ashame that it is over two hours from where we live. if you are evr in Bergerac and want to eat try this before anywhere else More

Tucked right in the centre of the old town in Bergerac, this place is not easy to find. Look for the statue of Cyrano and it is near there! It has reliably excellent food, very reasonably priced, mainly French in style though the owners are Dutch. We speak French but for English and American visitors, life is made easy because... More

Being lucky enough to live for part of each year not far from Bergerac we have been able to enjoy this restaurant since the present owners took it over a few years back. The welcome from the Dutch hosts is warm and genuine, the kitchen is on full view so you can watch the chefs being creative and the food... More
