I awaited my trip to L'Atelier, specifically to dine on the tasting menu, for weeks before my trip. I arrived promptly at 6:30 and was taken to a seat at the "bar" on the right side. I was eating alone but the service was spectacular. The restaurant quickly filled up. The sommelier and at least 2 waiters dote on you... more

This is the 4th or 5th time we have had dinner at L'atelier de Joel Robuchon. The food and wine are great and always interesting. It's consistently packed so clearly we are not the only ones to think so. The only slight niggle is that you can only book for the first sitting at 6:30 which is a little early... more

Our table (I should say seats) was booked at 12.30. We were ponctual and so were they. We have been seated around the counter as you may know ith the open kitchen in the middle. this was actually a great pointof interes for me, to see how chefs move during the service, how they coordinated the all things but unfortunatly... more

The preceding reviews are good. Top class, big choice, you will need to go back. I just love the tapas idea that you can have 3 or 4 starters as you meal rather than one big platefull. Soft shell crab tempura was a delight...pigs trotters like you have never had them before...belive me the taste was wonderful and you wouldn't... more

I had seen it written up as several things. First of all, it is always called "modern." Now, I can be modern: I like modern art, modern architecture (occasionally) and certainly modern fashion, but modern food somehow conjures up images of over-priced raw vegetables artfully arranged on a plate. Now why isn't that appealing? I had also seen it called... more

Joel Robuchon is the most "starred" Chef in the world and this is his flagship. Fantastic food and atmosphere, chic and trendy place with attentive waiters. Almost impossible to get a reservation or a seat but well worth the wait. We have been to many Ateliers around the world but the Paris one is in a class of its own! more

This restuarant is a great place for innovative food that is spectacular in taste and presentation. The staff are knoweldgable, friendly and very helpful. All seating is at counters, so it is not a romantic spot. Also, it would not work well for groups larger than four. The plus to this seating approach is that it is easy (and fun)... more

Had lunch here last week...wow! By doing a late lunch we received all the greatness for a reasonable price. For the two of us it was about 200 euros, including wine (probably too much wine!), but it was well worth it. We'd go back in a minute! more

You'll end up paying about 250 Euros for a meal for two (excluding wine) and it is worth every penny. The carpaccio was the best I've had in my life. Ditto for the sweetbreads and the Dover sole. Plus you get to see the food prepared in front of you. They even brought a plate of French Fries for my... more
