We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Despite our limited French, the waiter was extremely helpful and attentive. There was a great mix of locals and tourists, but it is important to note that a reservation is a must. The food was absolutely delicious (we loved the Beef hanger steak with wasabi sauce and smoked puree as well as the... more

Highly recommend this restaurant for the wonderful food, the cozy atmosphere, the great wine. Imaginative preparation and presentation. Reservations recommended/necessary. We had Dominique for our waiter and he was wonderful - great sense of humor, very patient with our poor French - he took care of us very well! more

One of the few quality restaurants in the Latin Quarter where most of the diners are local. Great food and service, casual atmosphere. more

I was not particularly impressed by this restaurant at lunch time. Despite the value menu at 13.50 euros, everything except the beef tongue costed additional. The restaurant was packed and only one waitress was serving the downstairs area, making service poor. The food was nothing more than mediocre, and it got very expensive when not ordering the value lunch. I... more

Had lunch at Le Pre Verre on the 16th of June. The food was fantastic - I had fish with lemon risotto and it tasted like heaven - but I was kind of put off by the service. Not that there was any kind of rudeness, but I didn`t really feel comfortable there. At first I thought I was just... more

We went to Le Pre Verre earlier this week on a visit to Paris. It was lovely! Lots of locals, which is always a good sign! The food was really good - I had parsely ice-cream with strawberries for pud, which tasted far more delicious than you'd imagine - green ice cream??!!.... It's not rock-bottom cheap, and the waiter tried... more

Great food, reasonable prices with good service and nice atmosphere. Some tables v close together but didn't bother us. I liked their unusual combinations on some dishes which made the experience all the more fun. Ate on a Friday night in March which was full so recommend booking on weekends. more

Having read glowing reviews of Le Pre Verre in several travel guides, as well as having received a recommendation from a Parisian friend, my wife and I arrived at this attractive left-bank restaurant with expectations for a memorable meal. It turned out to be quite memorable indeed, but for the wrong reasons. The food was excellent and lived up to... more

We ate there twice and wish we could have eaten there more often. It's a small restaurant in the Latin Quarter with seating inside and outside. Reservations are necessary for dinner at this very popular place. It opens for dinner at 7:30 and people were literally lined up when the doors opened. Those without reservations were turned away. The evening... more

We had lunch here in mid September. We didn't have a reservation so we were seated down in the basement, which was not terrible -- so I would suggest making reservations even for lunch. Our lunch was delicious and the use of spices was masterful and unexpected without turning into "fusion." Service was brisk and efficient. The fact that the... more
