When waiting in line to get into this place, we began talking to the people behind us. They had been coming there for 30 years and said that it was worth the wait. Once seated, the staff moved quickly to get your meal started. At first I thought the portion was sort of small. It was enough, but almost not.... more

Food was great, staff spoke good english, and desert was the best. Get ready for a very warm and very neighborhood like restaurant. It is very tight so get ready to sit in between strangers. I highly recommend it and will be back next time I come to Paris. Half liter of wine 8 euros, meat and french fries 26,... more

The Relais de Venise is a restaurant with a difference, and you have to know what to expect before deciding if it is for you. The complaints on TripAdvisor stem largely from those who were looking for something different from what they got. * There is a menu outside, showing just a single dish as main course - Entrecote at... more

I don't know what all the fuss is about this bistro style restaurant where the queue to get in is horrendous and this in itself generates a longer queue as unsuspecting gullible tourists join in and exacerbate the hype. They open at an unusual time of 7pm when all the surrounding restaurants in this tourist area of Porte Maillot are... more

We walked by this restaurant many times between the metro station (Porte Maillot) and the Concorde la Fayette hotel. We went in on a late night and they were still serving their famous entrecote. Our server was a wonderful lade from Bretagne. It was her warm personality and seeming love for what she does that really appealed to us. The... more

Just to start i think it is worth mentioning that this is a fixed menu. I came on trip advisor and saw that it was the best in the area so we went along, got in the que and waited to be seated. After seeing people say it was expensive we got a bit worried at the lack of menu... more

The steak was pretty good.... No large bits of fat and wasn't too chewy. However it was covered in oil (not sauce).... too much oil. The chips were average, as was the salad. Dessert and coffee were the highlight of the night. Why do people cue here I dont know. Our waitress was very nice, however the lady in her... more

I have been going to the Relais de Venise since the early 80s. The experience has always been the same: single menu, no choice of appetizer or main course, very good quality meat, amazing secret sauce and nice crispy fries. The house wine is a good value but I recommend upgrading to the Bordeaux they carry. The atmosphere is one... more

On our first evening as we walked back to our hotel we noticed the mammoth queue for this restaurant and were astounded. The following evening we noticed again the huge queue spreading into the street and almost stopping traffic. We looked in the window for the menu and couldn't see one. Must be good though we thought and so joined... more
