The wine is disgusting, the fondue uneatable and the staff very unfriendly. Not to mention the place in itself: stick one each other and very noisy. AVOID it
If you're relaxed and looking for a good time this place is a good laugh. The food is fine and the atmosphere is great. Don't expect a gourmet experience, but good conversation. Be aware that you'll have to climb over the table (wear trousers) and you'll be asked to leave bags and coats out of sight (don't bring valuables that... More
The reviews are pretty spot on for this place. You have to have a sense of humor to eat here and drink wine from baby bottles. The wine is only boxed wine, but its the interesting experience that makes this place fun. The cheese fondue was actually really good. It was a set price of 21 Euros per person. You... More
My group had 8 people, so we made a reservation in order to ensure we could be seated. When we arrived, we were forced to stand outside for about 40 minutes waiting for a spot to open up for us. The weird thing was that they let a few smaller parties in during that time. Once we were finally seated,... More
Arrived for our 8pm reservation and was told to wait outside. We had to wait over an hour before we were seated, and that's after they let 4 other parties that had arrived after us in and after i had to remind the waiter three times that we had been waiting since 8pm. Every person that arrived was told "to... More
This tiny, funny restaurant is located in a noisy and crowdy road of Montmatre. It serves one fixed 21€ menu, which includes starters (olives, salami, ...), a margarita, fondue or bourguignon, a dessert and a baby bottle of wine per person. This last item is the star of the diner. Food is good and copious, but it is not excellent:... More
This place will definitely split opinions. It's small and you sit elbow to elbow with the people beside you at one of two long narrow tables running the length of the restaurant. Ladies have to climb over the table to get to the seat against the wall. The menu have two choices on it - either meat or cheese fondue.... More
I have been to Les Refuge des Fondues two times now and both times were absolutely the best time I had while in Paris. The food in fantastic, service is great, and I have always met cool people sitting next to me! I will always return !
Really good food, the place is really funny and the atmosphere is really good! Price little high, but the food is pretty much, you won't get out hungry from there! it is a really nice place to try for a funny night in Montmatre, which is a fascinating quarters as well!
We are visiting my best friend who lives in Paris and we decided to hit this place up since its one of her favorite vegetarian option with a great atmosphere. Plan on it being busy-you may have to wait. There are only 2 long tables-family style seating.. Yes, I had to climb over the table to get to the other... More
