Excellent food and service, really friendly. Nicely spaced tables in a really old building. Reasonably priced - 4 courses + aperitif + wine + coffee €45.
We were on a Uniworld River Cruise and Rouen was one of our stops. We decided not to have lunch onboard but to have lunch while we were walking around the town. Their menu intrigued us so we decided to give it a try. My husband says it was his best meal during our 17 days in France. We ate... More
Spoilt for choice for restaurants in the centre of Rouen it can be very difficult choosing one. We ended up in here after spending an hour looking at menus mainly because it sounded a little more down to earth and wasnt sounding too complicated. Well I'm glad we made this choice. We ate a la carte inside. A good choice... More
We originally where on the hunt for "pressed duckling" but where unable to get it (reservations are needed) and unfortunately there are lots of cute looking little restaurants in the Old Market,we choose this one because it offered up some alternatives other than meat. It was very cute inside, with its exposed beams and decoration, the waiters where friendly and spoke which... More
La Toque d' Or is in the midst of a string of restaurants in the tourist zone, but do not be discouraged. The service and food were better than you would expect. I had veal head in a pot, which really meant braised veal cheeks. They were excellent. When it comes time for dessert consider the cheese tray. The selection... More
Right opposite the Old Market and Ste Jeanne d' Arc church. Great for poeple watching! Husband and I went here with 4 friends. Damp Sept day but warm enough on the first table nearest the restaurant and under the expansive umbrella. (We kept fleeces on...) 4 starters: 2 x salmon platter and 2 x onion soup. The onion soup was... More
We had a delightful meal inside the very attractive half timbered dining room beauifully served by charming waiters. 9 oysters, monkfish with pasta - arrives in a glass jar, wonderful cheese board and a fantastic millefeuille for me while my husband had a delicious terrine of foie gras followed by and escalope de veau normande - pretty good value for... We ate outside on the terrace and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of dishes and we had three courses. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Overall a very good meal.
The restaurant has a nice location on the square across from Eglise Saint-Jeanne d'Arc. The menu offers a decent choice of fixed price options and a la carte selections. The service was decent likely because there were only two others having lunch when we were there. The food was served relatively quickly but was nothing special. The bavette de boeuf... More
This was our first meal in Rouen after the transatlantic flight. The staff is very friendly. The food was good. The kids menu included an entree and a dessert with a drink. It was a good meal and we would go again.
