Recently visited le cafe des federations for the first time to experience a real bouchon...we had an enjoyable evening with a range of what i would say as traditional french country style dishes. The dinner started with an aperitif, then we had soup, a wonderful lyonnaise salad, sausage, pigs cheek cooked in red wine...excellent...then a magnificent cheese platter, dessert to... more

Wonderful, genuine, Lyonnais place to eat, very close to Grand Hotel des Terreaux...a 4 course menu of local delights..poached egg in red wine..pigs cheek..lovely, varied selsction of cheeses and madame's tarte...good wine plus a genuine, welcoming ambience - all at a remarkably reasonable price. You must book in advance as this is a treat not to be missed! more
