This place was recommended in the Rough Guide to Berlin, and I'm happy I could find it. Nice setting and the way you get your food (self-service then pay at the register) is fast. The food is reasonably good (although you come for the beer). A little hard to get to. more
Fairly big place next to the lake where you can enjoy a beer or a caffee latte - it's up to you. The place have 2 sections: a restaurant with some waiting time and a cafeteria with simple but good selections where you bring the food to a table next to the lake. The place is crowded but cozy. You can choose to sit inside the Cafe or in the wonderful big beergarden. Mostly it is crowded because of the great location between Tiergarten park and Zoologischer Garten. It`s good to take a break there...but you better are not going for the food. It`s far to expensive, the pizza in the garden is mostly burned and really nothing special.... more
