Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is simple, unpretentious, delicious food. It isn't the type of place you would go to in your finest clothes to be noticed. Far from it. However, if you just want to eat good food and enjoy the company of your partner/family in a relaxed...manner then I would highly recommend it. Also, great value.More

This is another of those wildly busy places full of shouts and trays flying at a velocity which have been known to decapitate the heedless---so be alert. We found an alley filled with diners, four manic workers in the open kitchen, and fifteen people lined...up for lunch (be there by 3:15). Veteran diners ordered wine while standing by the counter, and we did the same (5.70 E for two glasses). Medium plates of sardines, anchovies, shrimp, cuttlefish and other items can be had for 6- 11 E each. Although May said the razor clams were a little underdone, overall, this is excellent stuff. We had five dishes. That and the wine came to E 56. In three weeks of travel in five cities, this would be one of the top four meals Try to use some Spanish, and I guarantee your experience will be better. And they will like you for it.More

I'm not sure if you need to know about this place. It's so popular and hidden that people wait in line 5-10 min. or more to be seated, but once you have it... dishes and drinks come to your table amazingly fast. The restaurant has...tables in an alley across the block. It also has two dining rooms. You have to look for it to find it. It's not on sight. At first, the menu looks like many other restaurants in the area. So, why is it so popular? The menu is hard to distinguish from the other restaurants. Calamari are calamari, fish is fish, peppers are peppers, gambas a la pili-pili look the same also. It's in the flavor, the oil that's used and the products are fresh. It's also the atmosphere. Five servers taking orders and giving them to the kitchen orally at a speed that makes you wonder who is cooking - I saw only two cooks taking orders and cooking in the kitchen 😱. Not written!!! The tables in the alley next to the kitchen are the best. Es como una obra de teatro. The servers's sense of humor and interaction with the customers complement your meal. When you look at what I spend, keep in mind that I almost eat like for two people. I had a big beer, a glass of wine, two main dishes, and a side dish. There is one wrinkle in my experience. When I see people waiting, it makes me feel rushed. I'm a slow eater. I like to taste and enjoy my food and drinks. It's not their fault. Popularity has its price. Nevertheless, I'll go back. Enjoy!More

I’m sorry to write this review, but having sought this place out because of a recommendation and reviews we felt that this place was nothing special Yes the service is good and fast- as it is in most places in Malaga, but the seafood on...offer was nothing special, yes good prices, but similar to lots of other places. On the whole, nothing special and we wouldn’t return.More

Very simple but well cooked seafood - the gambas were probably the best ones we had on our trip. Lots of locals seem to go here too so that’s super reassuring. It gets q busy but they’re very speedy with service still.

Incredibly mediocre experience. Non existing customer service, average food quality. Fast delivery of food, that’s pretty much it. Lots of better options in the centre.

Good service after long wait. Very popular with good prices and fast service. A bit disappointing after all the recommendations.

We had our first dinner in Malaga here, and were vere happy. We lived in the neighborhood and I'd read the reviews here. Great seafood, friendly staff, and affordable prices.

Fresh and delicious food. Quick service. Nice, typical Malaga-restaurant-bar type of place. Recommend for lunch.

It is worth it just to come here for the clams! Tiny, sweet, briny in a perfect broth. Every time a dish is ready, they ring a bell.

We arrived around 9pm in Malaga and sought out somewhere to eat. Luckily we came across this restaurant, busy outside & in, they squeezed us in & we had some great local food, fried fish platter was only €25 & fed 3 of us comfortably,...we also had padron peppers & a salad. Seek it out, I don’t think it’s open Monday & Tuesday.More

In the very centre of the historic city in a short pedonal street we found this cozy restaurant specialized in fried fresh fish. Service very fast and prices low. We'll return soon.
