Located in Plaza de Zocodover in Toledo, it was the perfect place to have lunch. Varied menu. We enjoyed Shrimp Fritters and Croquetas and received complimentary Mazapan. We ate outside, and there is a lovely seating area inside upstairs.

My wife and I stopped in at El Foro for a coffee and a Coke just after we arrived for our day trip to Toledo this past spring. I had a piece of chocolate cake with my coffee. It was alright.
Avoid at any cost! Terrible food! “Toast” was the worst I have ever seen or tasted, but thats noting compared with “omlet”. On top of it dirty toilet with no toilet paper!
So, I guess El Foro was adequate, but I sure wish the 10 of us had found somewhere else. There are tons of dining options just off the square. Here's what I didn't like: 1. There are two prices for every meal. One price is...for take-away. If you want to eat in the restaurant, it is 2-3 euros more. 2. Four members of our group who were seated nearby left after not getting a menu after 20 minutes. 3. Gazpacho was on the menu, but we couldn't order it because it was out of season. It is available in Madrid, however. 4. The waiter couldn't give us individual tickets. 5. We couldn't pay by credit card for whatever reason, so we had to come up with the cash. 6. When a few of us returned to the restaurant nearly two hours later to use the upstairs restroom, one of the waitresses tried to chase us away.More
It was O.K, no more. Seved fairly quickly, but the tables weren't very clean. A shift apperaed to be changing and that was a plus, as the first waiter was brusque, but the second was reasonably friendly and the order came quite quickly. The food...was fine, no more and (it's a very touristy spot) overpriced.More
We went here for a drink. The have a nice outside seating area, overlooking the Plaza de Zocodover. Probbaly that is why you need to pay a bit more for drinks. Service is okay.
So wish I had read reviews before we decided to stop here for a couple of drinks. Daylight robery. A pint of beer €6.50 only up to €4.50 everywhere else. Because its in the main square lots of tourists. I don't recommend to come to...this restaurant. Beautiful Mirador Bar 10 minutes walk away with lovely views and chilled out music and reasonable prices so DO NOT STOP HEREMore
Day light robbery ! For 3 regular coffee and 2 small pastries (35 euros!!) I was charged for both take away and for the table, the waiters were not friendly and not reasonable with their answers I always prefer to visit local run business but...honestly after this experience, when in Toledo it is better to visit Mc Donald or Starbucks one minute away.More
Terrible, mean service, overpriced ice cream, Me and my friends were really unsatisfied with the waiters. :(
Bad food quality !!High prices for the serviced portions. The service bad.I had mixed paeya and couldnt eat it.The rice was almost raw, the chicken inside wasn't fresh at all(smelled badly), no pork( it should according to the menu), only two thin slices of squid.Atthe end...I was asking for sth 5 times , they didnt't get it and I felt annoyed and left.I couldnt wait any more.More
Nice little restaurant if you like to get robbed. Especially if you enjoy very small portions of partially cooked pasta for 13.50€...
Seriously this is a totally tourist trap. I've order a seafood Tagliarelle, it costs 12 euros, but you can finish it within 3 bites, and the mussel is so small that looks like a joke. Understand in such a tourist place may target tourist's pocket,...but even if you intend to treat tourist, please show some respect . The manner is terrible and we are not paying for you shouting at us.More
Good place to wait for a tour or catch the afternoon merienda snack. The Torta del los Reyes is very good on the three kings days. Long wait and slow service.
This is by far the worst place I’ve ever been to in Spain for food. The waiters are lazy, they miss orders and then they take no accountability. The food is complete tourist food and is just garbage. There are no good ingredients and it’s...completely tasteless. This might be the world’s worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. The McDonald’s next-door is so much more superior and then this landfill. Shame on me, I should’ve checked Tripadvisor before sitting down. There’s a reason why this place is rated so lowMore
After a long day and told there was no food at another restaurant, and walking in the rain on a cold day… we came across El Foro de Toledo. We met Juanjo who said we always have food! he served us Bocadillos, beer and drinks....he was funny and gracious adding extras to our bocadillo! just like we wanted it!! (queso, jamón y tomate 😄). We also had croquetas and patatas bravas. Great service from Juanjo, he saved our day. Try this place in Toledo at the square Plaza de Zocodover. very yummyMore
