Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a good experience at all. The rooms are extremely small not to mention the bathroom. The towels and bedding are old and rough to the skin. We felt very insecure as there is not a person working after 5:00 the place is dark and...if you come across an emergency there is no one to assist you, not worth the money .More

Located right at the heart of old town. Clean. Charming. Truly immerses one in historic Toledo knowing that you are staying in a building that dates back to the 1500s and yet that feels comfortable and cozy. My only issue was with the air conditioner...which didn’t seem to work very well or consistently. Otherwise, a very memorable stay.More

What an amazing place. If you want to see the real Spain this is where you need to come. An amazing 16th century building that retains all the features within 10 steps of the Cathedral. Alfonso greeted us and made us feel at home -...such a pleasant helpful man. He told us the best places to go and to eat. Thank you for making our trip specialMore

Best restaurant and experience in Toledo. The restaurant floor is part glass for you to see the ruins that are around 1000 years old. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. This Restaurant is a real Gem.

This charming lodging, located across the street from the Primate Cathedral of Toledo, offers an opportunity to stay in an environment steeped in history. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room (#22) offered a view of the entrance to the cathedral. It was...small but had plenty of room to hang and store clothes, two balconies, an easy chair and a modern bathroom. A short stairway leading up from the hallway takes you to the roof, where you get views of the city and the cathedral across a narrow street. Our taxi from the train station was able to drop us off right in front, and take us back when it was time to leave, not always an option at lodging on narrower streets.More

We spent 2 nights here at the end of September. The hotel could not be better placed, right next to the cathedral, though the drive up through the increasingly narrow streets is not for the faint hearted. Nor is the hotel suitable for people with...mobility problems. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite small but comfortable. The breakfast, well worth the 8 euros.More

What a fabulous find! This lovely hotel is in a historic building that has ties with the cathedral across the street. It has been completely renovated, keeping it's old world Spanish charm. A roof top terrace is accessible with spectacular views of the cathedral and...other points of interest. Since our room opened to the inside of the building, the rooftop was a perfect place to enjoy a bottle of wine above the crowds! The rooms facing the cathedral have spectacular views. The hotel also has a souvenir store and a restaurant as part of the property. We did not eat at the restaurant, so cannot comment on the food. The staff are so fabulous and accommodating and it is centrally located, making old Toledo easily accessible and walkable. A grocery store in within walking distance as are numerous restaurants and tapas bars.More

I went to casa de cisneros for lunch at the end of the month. The lunch menu (20 euro for special lunch) was generous. I especially enjoyed the bull's tail dish.

We loved the hotel. Very quaint and only a few steps away from the gorgeous gothic cathedral. Only ten rooms - request for a room facing the cathedral side. Staff are very helpful Tea coffee available at the check in level for 2 euros Bathroom...is super tiny and room is small but you won't mind as the space is so warm and welcoming.More

The path to the hotel is winding and intricate as you near the hotel from the train depot. The hotel is rich in history, with antiques surrounding you. However... The new owners (visited the place 4 years previous to 2016) charge for almost everything! The...most affordable way is to stay more than 2 days. Also, the taxi drivers charge around 7 euros from the train depot to the hotel. It varies, I'm sure, but be vigilant. Otherwise, enjoy Toledo!More

We loved this hotel, just across from the Cathedral on a narrow lane. It's 500 years old, yet the rooms are completely upgraded. Our small balcony looked out on the cathedral, and from the roof you could see all around the city. We were happy...to pay for the breakfast, which was small but full of good, fresh options, including, of course, cafe con leche. Staff was very helpful. Room was very comfortable and charming. At 55 euros, it was a real bargain.More

Absolutely fell in love with this accommodation, the rooms were small but jam packed with character. After climbing to the roof the view and vibe was breathtaking. The history gave the room a warmth and feel that cannot be created in newer hotels, it was...very clean and the staff welcoming. My favourite place of the whole trip definitely not to be my last visitMore

All staff here were quite nice, and we could practice Spanish and also deal in English. The building itself is historical, formerly occupied by priests from the Cathedral, we were told, and features a central courtyard, historic furnishings, and wood beams. The bed was comfortable...and large, and the room we got featured a small eating area and a large armoire as well as two balconettes, overlooking the cathedral and street below. This place is literally a few feet from the cathedral.More
