Best Restaurant in Spain. After traveling 2 weeks in Spain a certainly can assure that this was by far, the best of all: porcion size and price, The chef has been at this location for 43 years. His food is outstanding. Highly recommended to all.
Don’t listen to the woman by the cathedral. This place exists to take advantage of tourists. If a genie gave me 3 wishes, I would use all of them to bring this place down. Rude service and refused to give more than two glasses of...tap water. I would sooner go to Long John Silver’s. 0 stars.More
We were wandering around the streets of Toledo and were going to walk past La Oficina when the waitress mentioned “all homemade food today”. We looked at the menu, which is fairly basic, and decided to have some lunch. Caroline, the waitress, could not have...been more friendly or helpful. We had a mixed salad to start , followed by Paella, Manchego cheese plate and 2 of the daily special, which was beef loin with ratatouille. The food was delicious with very ample portions. Would definitely go back if we were in Toledo again.More
This was a pretty average to below average restaurant. I think the food was pretty alrighy though what they served you could find at other restaurants for better quality. They do not speak english but they do speak russian and spanish, and they have english...and spanish menus. The service was very nice at first from the lady, but one server rushed a lot and the other stood around. The lady overd over us as we were trying to order, and although the food was served very quickly, the quality was poor and the lady lost her interest in us after a while, and was not as welcoming as she was at the start. Overall, okay service and okay food.More
Do not listen to the woman that is near the cathedral attracting tourist attentions to recommend local food it is a scam and you will end up disappointed like me. I’m sure she is the wife of the grumpy owner. One star is too much...luxury for the lousy service in the restaurant, the older man who serves is always in a hurry, he doesn't give you enough time to read the menu, the food was ok/decent a bit overpriced but what made me feel uncomfortable was that this guy gives you a really hard time because you feel like you have to eat in a hurry that there is no desire to have a dessert or coffee after your meal. There is no need to ask for the bill because when you finish eating if you don't ask for anything they will rush you to pay and even the waitresses are lazy to take out the bill with the calculator if you have to divide it among a group of people they are also rude and make inappropriate comments. PS:Our mistake was not reading the reviews beforehand because that lady was so nice as she did sell the place well for authentic local food. I hope someone finds this review helpful so they don't have a bad experience like mine. Also if you check the reviews on Google maps they are awful too.More
This is a very local experience. Food is what is referred to “casera” or home cooking. Delicioso and fresh. The cara camisa is the best we had.
We stopped here for a late lunch during our day in Toledo and had the best meal of our trip. Definitely recommend the chicken and vegetable paella!
Great food, different selection and great flavor. They offered a package deal that included wine and dessert, great price. My only complaint is that the bathroom was very dirty.
The chef Mr Javier is great cook and we loved his food besides is a family and local place if you want to eat the real Toledo food!!! You must visit!!!!
The food is great, one of the best I have eaten in Spain. The staff is very kindly, will help you with everything. They recommended us what to eat and it was definitely a good choice. The chef is so kind, and very, very obliging....I can say all the best about him!! (Jefe es muy amable). He came several times to us and asked if everything was all right. For the price that we paid, we could not ask for more, especially when you see that a "stupid" pizza cost to 16 euros in other restaurants! All in all, this is a place in which I should definitely return.More
Whenever you go to a restaurant, you expect to eat something different from home. You may pay a cheap price, and have food accordingly, but still good, or go to this place. I saw what I think was the lonely owner. No waiters. No fresh...food, only chef Mike cooked. 12,50 to eat bad microwave food? No way. Sterco...More
It was OK for not knowing what the menu saying they don't speak English at all. The good came to the table way to fast and at 1 pm we were the only people there on a Saturday. The bathroom was OK we paid 30...euros pour meals it's a OK price. But I won't go back there againMore
Food really poor and served way too fast, which means that everything has been prepared ages ago. Service is bad, especially the owner who wouldn't allow my kids (2 & 4) to share a main course just because he wanted to charge twice. Not allowing...means he wouldn't let the waitress bring an extra fork or dish: BAD. Bottom line: stay away from this place!More
We found this restaurant in a little plaza near the Church (Iglesia) de san Justo. It felt a little off the tourist trail which we liked. They do have a menu in English but the staff only speak basic English- we got buy on my...Spanish though. Menu del dia is 14.50 Euro for 3 courses, wine and bread. The chickpea stew with chorizo was delicious and had the softest chickpeas I've ever had. The paella was delicious, I've had better. For seconds we had the grilled pork with a really delicious tomato relish and steak- equally delicious. For dessert we had home made creme caramel and the ice cream, which looked just like a store bought viennetta. Overall the meal was very good and the wine excellent. It was lovely to sit out on the terrace and not get charged extra for the privilege. They also have a large downstairs eating area near the toilets. My only criticism was the speed at which they brought each course. They'd only just take the plates away when the next course came. Maybe this is why there are more terrible reviews from Spanish speakers than good ones but we enjoyed out meal.More
