Great lunch on a sunny day in December. Located on the edge of the Marina and great views. Free wi-if available. Prices reasonable.
Nice restaurant in a strech by the port with a run of options. We were recommended the restaurant by our hotel - glamerous setting, good food and reflected in the price. We went for lunch but expect it would be great at sunset with the view over the harbour.
The food is generally good to very good and the service did not disappoint. The prices are a bit above average, because of the nice by-the-water setting, which I did not mind paying since it adds to the experience. In fact I came back a second time with a friend.
Despite it's location, were one might expect to not get the best food in town, I have to say - it's good! I have been here many times, alone or with my wife, and every time enjoyed the food. The food is kind of pricey, but the location rocks, so it is well worth it imo. Wine list is decent... More
Barceloneta is the port area of Barcelona known for fish restaurants where locals and tourist mingle together, especially on weekends. My partner and I are foodie people and we appreciate and good meal even if it is for a little more money but La Gavina was just disappointing. We had calamares a la romana and a pasta dish wich weirdly came with asparagus. The Calamari were heavily battered and didn't taste very nice. I asked the waiter for Aioli which... More
We were served very rapidly, the host was charming and the view was really nice. The food was ok at best, but certainly too pricy. I would not go back.
Food quality OK but nothing special and nowhere near the quality you would expect from the prices they are charging. From the moment we arrived we had the feeling that the staff were rushing, as though they had a better place to be, which they probably did.
Great location near the harbor and friendly staff. None from Spain though! The food was nothing special, yet expensive. I don't plan to return.
Recommended by our hotel...at first a bit hesitant, but this meal was very good. Some great starters, but the real star was the paella. Had multiple types, and each was outstanding. Yummy! Great location near the sea. Highly recommend.
