I think the last time I was here was 2005, and it really is an oasis in the middle of the summer. The bar/restaurant in the basement is nice and cool, especially if you've been walking around the gothic quarter all day. Food is good, drinks are a bit pricey, but overall it is a really nice experience. more
My husband and two teenagers daughters enjoyed wonderful pastries and tea here. The almond and egg tart and apple cake were standouts. The atmosphere is lovely, with candlelight and an old fashioned decor. more

Caelum is an unexpected find in the heart of the Barri Gotic in Barcelona - you don't come across many tea rooms serving delightful patisseries.
