Old world style restaurant with all the trimmings - lots of black-tie waiters, linenwear, silver service etc - on the first floor. This adds considerably to costs and reflected in prices that the food does not match up to. Tournedos Rossini only dish that reasonable and even then a thin sauce and small & poor pate, although steak itself excellent.... more

Lhardy has been in business serving traditional Castilian food for 150 years. It was recommended by both Fodor's and Frommer's. Given its rather expensive menus (30-40 Euros for main dish) and such publicity, we enter the restaurant with fairly high expectations, which was further enhanced by the restaurant's very elegant and eclectic decor.
