A very expensive restaurant but a real experience check out the wine list larger than a telephone directory. I am sorry I didn't photograph my sweet as it was a work of art. Try this place for a one off special occaision more

This is a very individual restaurant, as it is a sort of museum to Caruso as well - with memorabilia on the walls, and some information about Caruso in the menu booklet. This is definitely a more expensive restaurant in Sorrento. Fancier than most and the locals that go here go on special occassions. This was recommended by a local and it truly was a great dining experience. The food is very good and the atmosphere is nice. We enjoyed our meals and found it to be a bit on the pricey... more

While we agree that Ristorante Caruso is very good for lovely intimate ambiance, good service, good food (and a wine 'Bible!') don't be led to believe that the attached part of the establishment (La Basilica) is the same. Fabulous food, wonderful ambience. The waiter suggested a white wine that Gail said was the best she had in Italy. If only she could remember what it was. Capprese sald was terrific and have the waiter suggest the rest. Not inexpensive but we paid more for less in Rome and Paris. more
