The real Neopolitan pizza experience. Recommended by many locals. The pizzaiolos work the oven and deep fryer (for the ripieni - see below) right in front. Restaurant is simple and serves only pizza. Our green Michelin Italy describes this restaurant as "Long the haunt of the rich and famous." We had lunch here, on the ground floor. We later saw many people climbing up to the upper floor, and we have no idea what was up there. We also saw a busy take-out window. more

Wow! Just got back from Di Matteo a couple of hours ago and am looking forward to going back there tomorrow! The pizza was FANTASTIC and hanging over all edges of the plate! Pizza is off the chain at this famous place. I had the Quattro Formaggi which was brilliant. If you are serious about pizza you should visit this place. more

This was the best pizza margherita I've ever had, or probably ever will have. Thin crust, REAL mozzarella cheese, excellent sauce and of course fresh basil. Their arancini was great too. Good service, great prices (3 Euro's/ huge pizza). more
