Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thankyou so much for looking after our large party from England on Monday night we had so much fun tasting all the beer and wine and cheese and ham! It was great fun in your secret cellar we learnt a lot. What a beautiful shop...you have too! See you again soon Bridget.More

We simply love this place, excellent service, delicious beers, and light dishes, and absolutely charming location overlooking main square of Testaccio

Hearing kids play in the park across the street, while enjoying an Aperol spritz at an outdoor picnic table felt like being a local. Staff are friendly and prompt. I didn’t dine there but all the food being served looked fabulous, so I’ll be back!...The tagliere and desserts looked amazing. Shopping in the area is terrific, so save time for that too.More

As for beer they may have a large bottle selection but as for draft beer it was pretty standard, about 6 drafts. I'm not saying it was bad just between Rick Steves & TA reviews my expectations were higher. We only had beer here so...cannot comment on their food. Definitely local vibes which was refreshing.More

We have eaten at this restaurant before and enjoyed it. This time the menu was not the same and we didn't enjoy it as before. They do have a huge selection of beer and wine. Dining is outside on the sidewalk or down in the...cellar.More

Awesome place if you love beer. The beer menu was at least 10 pages. The buffet option (10€) is well worth the money. We were at the end of our trip and hadn't had good vegetables in a while. This buffet had all the amazing...veg dishes you could possibly need. Only problem was that once pudding runs out it really runs out xDMore

I highly recommend that you walk down the river to Testaccio neighbourhood to visit this wine bar that is located on the local piazza. Wine by the glass, great selection of beers, and there is a buffet of homemade food with a glass of wine...option for 10EUR. A memorable experience and I would revisit again when I am back in Rome. Grazie!More

Great variety of beer and wine and a wonderful location on a bustling piazza. A list of available beers would have been good - maybe there is one, I just didn't find it - but an overall excellent experience.

Dinner for two with only mediocre food was over $110. More than I expected considering we had a light meal and 1 glass of wine each. We were also charged for the bread we didn't eat. Seems more like NYC pricing to me. And we...had to flag down our waiter twice to get our bill. There's an excellent gelato shop in the piazza.More

A local friend recommended this lovely restaurant for us and we absolutely love it. Set in a wine shop/cellar, the place is very atmospheric and cosy. I had bucatini pasta caci e pepe and it was so good. Others in the group had chicken, veal,...pasta amatriciana and we all enjoyed the dishes. Wine was great. I would happily go back to this place.More

I'm hesitant to write this, but this is the best aperitivo in Rome in my opinion. Also both a great beer and wine selection

Our airbnb ended up on top of this amazing restaurant/bar/specialty wine and beer shop. We had a long drive up and we were feeling weak, weird and hangry. WELL! We walked in during apperitivo hour and guess what! They had a buffet of like 20...plates and cured meats and cheese in the back- it is self serve and you pay 10 euros for a plate AND a drink!!! WHAT!! There was an eggplant parmigiana that rivalled many dishes in fancy restaurants. We went again and again for drinks and beer to go, which we could enjoy in the piazza out front in plastic cups.More

We visited this place after a review in an article. Its great to get away from the tourist trail to find a place mainly filled with locals. The wine came only in large glasses along with large bowls of snacks, aperitivo, encouraging you to have...one more just so you can finish them. Very extensive beer list including some largers. Great aperitivo place at a great price.More

This place was very special, nothing like other places I've been to. We had the buffet and beer, it was only 10 Euro and the place had fantastic food, it was very cosy and nice and it was not loud. The environment was cool since...it was completely decorated with beer and wine bottles. Highly recommended if you're looking for a genuine place where the locals go.More

They do an amazing open buffet aperitivo, but you need to get there early to get the good stuff...otherwise they have a menu with a modest but interesting selection of dishes. The wines and beer are very good.
