We never imagined pizza could be so thin! We got fat on this wonderful thin Roma-style pizza. And happily so.
We were tired after a day of long walks between sites so decided to walk up the street for pizza. Ordered the tuna and onion pizza that friends recommend and were not disappointed. It was excellent and I believe is a speciality of the house. There was some confusion as to the number of cortoni and antipasto we ordered -... More
On our last night in Rome, we couldn't be bother to go to a restaurant so we decided to take a pizza from San Remo, except they were closed. So, we opted for a take away pizza from Nuevo Mondo instead, since I read on an American blog that it was as goog as San Remo's. Well. it wasn't but... More
One of four 'top' pizzerias in Testaccio: the others being Da Remo (my preferred), il Grottino, and 00100. At Nuovo mondo the pizza is excellent however not superb. Sometimes the base isn't quite as crisp as I like, the fritti can be a little bland and the decor is depressing... one doesn't expect much from a pizzeria, but there is... More
This place is kind of a classic, basic roman pizzeria. Personally I like the atmosphere, though it's kind of stark. Sevice is fast, prices are low, the pizza is good (i love the margherita with onions, forget bad breath) and I would recommend the fried vegetables as a starter. It's nothing special, but it's a typical family pizzeria, much better... More
100% roman pizzeria busting with locals not tourists (good sign always) - It's a 10-15min walk from Piramide station - I had the buffalo cheese pizza - i forget what it's called on the menu but it was absolutely divine! Well worth the calories and i plan on visiting this little gem whenever next i'm in town! The staff speak... More
While it is located far from the city centre, it worths any taxi fare you pay :) the best pizza I have ever tried. Also try supply (fried rice crockets) and smth di granchio (fried breaded crab's leg). Since it is a family owned business, the atmosphere is very Roman and cosy :)))) I come back every time I visit... More
Hands down the most scrumptious pizza in Rome! Great service too!!!!!!! try the buffalo cheese and tomato one, oh my!
Domenico from our food tour recommended this place and so we gave it a try. The pizza was fabulous and the atmosphere was 100% Roman. I loved watching the guys load up the oven with all the pies and pull them out with such skill and grace. What a great night among all the locals!
This place is no frills...you get one glass, you pretty much set your own table, and the decor...well, there isn't much to speak of. It kind of reminds me of a grade school lunch room. But you will soon forget all this because the pizza is amazing! Didn't see many tourists, and the place was packed, so you know it's... More
