Good tastes, but very tiny dishes and huge waiting. Looking at other customers pictures, looks like they finished raw materials (but did not advise us). No more, foreverMore

Excellent seafood/sicilian in Bologna. So you're in bologna, which means there's an infinite number of places where you can get brilliant bolognese cuisine. However, there _are_ plenty of places for other Italian alternatives - this for example, is one of them. Sicilian food done well,...and with a heavy focus on seafood (of course). And yeah, they're welcoming, friendly, and all around nice people...More
i've eaten here a couple times, and i have always been satisfied. the list is amazing, fish and vegetables served in a peculiar way, using all the ingradients of classic sicily cuisine. we also had an excellent wine
Not a very big place, can be uncomfortable and noisy in case of big companies inside. It can be difficult to order without knowing Italiano. Довольно шумное и людное место. Рыба хороша, но цены весьма высоки. Английский мало поможет в выборе блюд.
We stopped in here for a drink on the way back to our hotel after a meal in the city centre. We knew it was a restaurant but we asked it it was ok to just have a drink. The friendly owner/ manager said it...was fine and brought us a little basket of fried polenta to ‘welcome you’. How lovely, we thought. However when presented with a bill for €15 for a small beer and glass of wine we weren’t so impressed. When we asked why it was so expensive we were told ‘this is a restaurant ‘. It was obvious they had added the cover charge onto the bill (usual if you are eating) although we hadn’t had a meal. We left feeling confused and ripped off but went back the next day to ask why we had been charged so much. I spoke to a lovely lady who understood our concerns and said she wouldn’t have added the cover charge for just having a drink but it was the managers choice. We left feeling disappointed and upset. Not a good introduction to Bologna. Be warned!More

Lovely place where tourists meet locals. Only a few minutes walk from Piazzo Maggiore. Local ambiance, friendly service in Italian, English and German.
Eating in their courtyard it was an idyllic setting and whilst I don’t look for over attentive service if you do this may not be the place for you. I was however most disappointed in the food: small portions, cooking that was almost interesting but...didn’t quite manage to make the grade. I would have been perfectly happy at a modest price but this was not a cheap restaurant. Bologna has lots to offer but this would not be high on my list.More
We visited the restaurant several times a year ago and wanted to come back. We were not disappointed. Spectacular Sicilian seafood. They have a small menu that perpetually changes. This time, the fried gambas and calamari were not only abundant but especially light.
Good, original food (specialized on seafood), some of the meals unusual (in a good way). Attentive service, relaxed and spacious.
In Bologna for a workshop, this Trattoria was recommended by others of the group, walked in and we were asked if we had reservations. We didn’t and there were 3 others there. When we left, it was a little more than half full, so they...do have airs. Menu all in Italian and server didn’t explain very well. Two others got pasta, I asked for the rice and sea food and got a truly awful dish. Probably because I’m not into gourmet Italian. It was swelled up rice, a peculiar sauce and sea snails, as opposed to a nice fish. Had to spit out the first of three and didn’t bother finishing. The fried bread or whatever may have been an issue too. Asked for the check three times, then got up and got our coats before being able to pay and leave. NOT recommended, especially for Americans.More

As a food writer, I went to Pane e Panelle to do research for an article I'm writing on how the restaurant survives in a city where meat is king. It not only survives, it shines. Admittedly, I did not eat fish but had mostly...vegetarian fare—couscous, pasta, cabbage salad, lentils, and grilled vegetables. Simple foods but one of the best meals I have had in Bologna. I was there about a month ago, and I am still craving the vegetables. Don't get me wrong. Everything else was great, too. I had never eaten couscous, and the dish I had was delicious. The cabbage salad and lentils brought back memories of childhood meals. But the vegetables were phenomenal. I had a discussion with another chef some years ago, and he said that what makes a good chef a great chef is how he/she cooks a simple dish. The vegetables. The vegetables. Chef Luca is a great chef.More
If you are visiting Bologna and looking for something different to eat, this is the right place. The chef Luca Giovanni Pappalardo, after his experience in Milan, joined this restaurant in the center of the city: fish based dishes are an excellent mix of innovation...and tradition. The place is simple and quite, with a very good service.More
The owner was very welcoming and attentive, the waitresses helpful and polite. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard. The menu is fish-based and has some excellent, creative dishes. Both the main courses we ordered were well presented and tasted amazing. Definitely worth a visit...for a change from lasagne and tortelliniMore
This is a Sicilian restaurant, specializing in fish. The food is refined and exceedingly fresh, the staff friendly, and he wine selection excellent and affordable.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and very pleased to have done so. We couldnt see any meat on the menu - just fish or vegetarian dishes. Two starters (tumbet and sardines), two main courses (grilled veg with cheese and pasta with asparagus and anchovies)...and a bottle of wine cost around 65 euro. It was lovely to be able to sit in the courtyard without being smoked on. The waitress is studying to be an architect and travels to Florence regularly several times a week to attend University. She was very helpful with an all Italian menu. Enjoyed our visits - Recommended.More
