Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my family have gluten problems and finding this place was just incredible. We had gluten free spaghetti and some baked potatoes. It was delicious! The bread they brought us was also super delicious! Wonderful staff as well. We enjoyed it so much and...we will come back again during our next stay in Bologna, hopefully with a chance to try their pizza. Grazie mille! :)More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local resident who is also a coeliac. We were in Bologna for 2 nights and went along on our first night here upon this recommendation. Well, we were not disappointed! we spotted some pizzas being bought out so...we didn’t have a starter due to the size of them. we went straight in for the pizza and boy was it good. As a coeliac I can honestly say I have never tasted pizza quite like this😊 I really felt like I was having a normal gluten filled feast.. boy oh boy was it good. Portions are huge and oh so delicious but the home made gluten free tiramisu could not be missed and I’m so glad I didn’t.. it was divine. The staff here are amazing and work so hard. Every request is dealt with efficiently. They copied admirably with a couple of English customers with little Italian (apart from Siri) admirably and with a smile and a laugh. The second night we went back to make sure it was as good as we thought😂 this time we settled on pasta. Tagliatelle with Ragu sauce gf, spaghetti with seafood for hubby which they adapted to add a Tonya based sauce for him. We also ordered a fish dish which we thought would be a starter however it came after the meal and was absolutely divine, cod with slices of potato and cherry tomatoes on top. Good job we shared this as it was huge and so tasty. We couldn’t resist a pud and opted for cheesecake between us, again very good. Finishing off with coffee and lots of smiles from the amazing staff. Don’t miss out on this place. It is a little way out of town but so worth the journey. All I can say is this place is exceptional and with mainly Italians dining there, that speaks volumes. Great value cos money. Oh, and do try the Italian GF beer🍺More

If you fancy pizza that is the place to go to. The owners are from Naples and they sure know how to make pizza. The menu is extensive, you can choose from a variety of plates not just pizza. The menu is also available in...a gluten free version cooked in a totally different kitchen. The service is amazing. The food portions are rather large and you will definitely feel full there. There are outdoor seats but it the weather is cold go inside, the indoor area has the pizza oven so it will be nice to watch. If it happens that you don’t finish your plate you can always take it home. Would definitely visit again.More

Amazing food and great service, a hidden gem in Bologna! Ragu was on the menu but they still created it for us upon request!

This was one of my favorite meals. We split a buffala mozzerella pizza with the Tagliere crust and it was more than enough. It was so good I ate it for breakfast the next day! I highly recommend walking the 30 minutes outside the city...center for this place. So good.More

Excellent location for a weekend break and more. One of the oldest universities in the world and many architectural and religious to see and visit. Put that with the Italian lifestyle, food and wine and you have the perfect recipe for a fantastic holiday.

We went there in 7. Six of us took the pizza and 5 shared 2 "taglieri". The 2 taglieri were very good, soft and thick pizza with very good tomato sauce. The mozzarella wasn't anything special. The other person who took a simple pizza was...not very satisfied since the pizza was think and dry. The last person took a seafood dish and was satisfied, But i did not try this dish. Overall is a good pizzeria, in average in the Italian standardMore

Some of the most delicious food I ate whilst in Italy and at such fantastic prices. We visited twice during our week stay because we thought it was so good. Spent around €14 each for lunch with wine (€5 more when we had dessert). I...would highly recommend the calzones which are absolutely huge. The tiramisu is also exquisite. A must visit for beautiful and cheap Italian food.More

We stopped here very late. We drove from Milan so we arrived around 10pm. The place was still full and they sat us without any problem. We did not try the pizza. It looked very good and they also make very huge pizzas, which groups...were sharing. If you've had Chicago deep dish pizza, this is even bigger. We ate the tagliatelle bolognese and the tortelloni bolognese. They were both some of the best bolognese we tried during our 3 day vacation in Bologna. The tortelloni was about 5 pieces.More

If you have never had one of Caruso's "48hour dough" pizzas then its time to head for Bologna and get yours booked now! Remember to order at least 48 hours in advance and specify you want Caruso's special 48 hour dough pizza ... take my...advice and order more than one. You can specify the toppings on the night ... it was lots of pepperoni for me. A small and friendly, no fuss restaurant, just out of the city centre. Head down Via Giueseppe Massarenti to Via del Parco ... perhaps not the most scenic but its all about that special Italian feel, food and wine.More
