Everyone told us to go and have the dinner in this restaurant even who used to live in Venice. It's important to book a table in time at least the day before you go otherwise it will ne impossible to find a place even late at night.
We ate fantastic dishes especially the fried meatballs they are very famous for....

no more words than the ones already spent from others visitors...nice tastfull food with afamily's atmosphere which bring you in the authentic Venice's life.....
Made a reservation on somebody else's recommendation. The meatball appetizers were good, and my wife's pasta was pretty good. The spaghetti a vongole was pretty tasteless, literally just pasta, clams, and olive oil. We shared a second course of fried calamari and prawns that had one shrimp in it.
The worst part is how rushed we felt. Service was below...

Loved this place. Authentic, friendly and great value.
Arrived for a Cicchetti and wine - we had a couple of wines each and chichetti for €10!!
Cichetti were great and the house wine was served from huge jugs on the front counter - very hard to not to let them keep filling it up!
We tried to go back on...

Before you go in, remember, you must pay with cash. No credit cards accepted. Typical venetian bar restaurant squeezed in to an impossible spot with crooked, cracked walls and tons of charm. The waiters are typically European, professional and in a hurry, but very good at what they do. You'll need a reservation and always check to make sure they're...

We went to this traditional Venetian bar in May 2007. This Osteria Ca' D'Oro (Alla Vedova) is known as one of the best-preserved traditional bar in Venice. Even though it's official name is Ca'D'Oro but most Venetians know it as Alla Vedova (the Widow's Place). This is a traditional bar where if you stand by the bar, pay for the...

We stopped at this bar for a quick drink and snacks to tide us over before heading out for a concert. We only had about 15 minutes, and we stood by the counter and had a few small glasses of the house wine and some of the appetizers at the bar -- 2 types of meatballs and a few vegetable...

My partner and I went to this great Italian bar - and it is a bar which serves food, not a fancy restaurant - last week during our visit to Venice. What a wonderful, fun experience! We didn't have a reservation, but were immediately whisked to some seats on a shared table by a charming waiter who responded in excellent...
