This was a conference dinner so we had a set menu of about 5 dishes. All dishes were excellent and the wine was superb. The resaturant is elegant and pleasant.
An elegant ambiance for a restaurant which mixes tradition with innovation. Good interesting dishes, nice wine list - also served by the glass - and corteous and attentive service. The bill was reasonable. A good experience altogether.
Our first night in Florence we were wandering up the Via Romana when we saw Il Santo Graal and made a mental note of it. On our way back down towards the city we decided to give it a try and were very fortunate that we did so. Excellent service, delicious food, nice atmosphere, a really nice experience.
We were staying on the other side of the river and looking for a restaurant near our hotel. Turned to Tripadvisor for suggestions and found this gem. On our way in to town we stopped by to make a reservation. This is when we first met Federico. He was so friendly and inviting we knew that we had made the... More
Loved the food and we got loads of extra tidbits, like homemade bread, an appetizer and little glasses of Limoncello :) Great service too!
We were staying on the quiet wonderful side of Firenze and my sister in law discovered this one evening while walking home....fancy yes...pricey..just a bit...great service and for me the best bistecca fiorentina or for that matter any steak ..ever.......worth every euro for an amazing dinner and experience...we ate very well in Firenze and this was the best !
Unprepared, we thought it was just another overpriced restaurant trying to get guests in with a fashionable rustic design... But than something after all did bring us in and I'm so glad that it did! My wife's convinced that it was the very best restaurant on our two week trip in Toscany. I think that says it all. They perfectly... More
Came across totally unexpectedly when a couple stepped out as we were peering through the window. They told us they were so happy they made reservations for the following night!:So did we! We have been there twice.. First for dinner and once for lunch...service impeccable...thanks to Federico and food exquisite!
Positives first: the food is very good, although the restaurant hasn't quite understood that you don't sell tasting menu portions as à la carte ones. The menu, offering traditional and more experimental cooking, is an interesting concept that works very well. The wine list is excellent, and the sommelier very good at suggesting pairings. However, service is slow, sometimes excessively... More
My partner and I travelled around Europe for a month earlier this year. This was the best restaurant that we ate at whilst away (better than two Michelin star restaurants a that we ate in Paris and Amsterdam). The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the wine was amazing and the food was absolutely superb (but in no way pretentious).... More
