In the olden times, this was a little caffe, alimentari in a gorgeous location that grew into a hugely successful restaurant with good reason. It is in the hamlet of Arcetri, up above Florence, where Galileo lived out his final years. The food used to be wonderful, but on the last three visits, we got mediocre food and lousy service.... We are living about two years in Florence. For sure, we very well know level of prices and quality for main Tuscany dishes - tagliata, fiorentina, pasta, proshutto. Just finish our dinner for 3 persons in Omero - 178 euro is TOO MUCH!.. One small starter for the table, three main courses ( tagliata con rucola), two deserts and one... More

Firstly, this restaurant is worth going to because of its unique location. It is situated in some hills juts outside e city and if you catch it at sunset, you are in for a real treat od scenery. Secondly, the atmosphere of the whole place is wonderful. They know heir wine and oil like the back of tier own hand.... More

We had lunch here at the suggeestion of a friend as well as our tour guide in Florence. It was all they described. The food was delicious; the service prompt but not overbearing, and the setting is nothing short of spectacular. We had the Florentine steak for 2. Tasty and perfectly done. It's a bit expensive, but the quality, service... More

Went to Trattoria Omero for dinner last night with family of 7. My 19 year old nephew ordered the beefsteak and they charged us 79 euros for his one steak!!! Incredible. My husband hadn't realizeed the excessive charge until we returned to our hotel. We'll be following up this morning with the Trattoria as there must have been a mistake... More

We were staying at Villa i Giullari and were recommended to eat at this superb Restaurant. We were early and so it was very quiet until much later, when it became exceptionally busy, not only with tourists but with locals. Wonderful views, sublime food - seriously exceptional. This is what makes visiting Italy so fantastic, simple food that tastes like... More

Rolled into Florence at 8:30pm and headed to Omero for a 9:30 dinner with a view of Florence. Warm rustic dining room makes you feel like you're in someone's kitchen. Delicious and excellent service too. We'll be back. More

The grilled artichoke hearts here amazing. The pasta dished are simple and very tasty. The view is beautiful; overlooking a gentle downslope looking towards the city. A great neighborhood restaurant with sincere and friendly service. More
