I was told you could eat anywhere in Florence and be impressed. Not a truer word spoken. Angiolino’s wow!! Just bloody go.

Excellent family lunch for 9. Interesting dishes, well prepared, served by helpful and knowledgeable waiters. Great atmosphere. We went back as a couple a few days later!
Exceptional food, warm and welcoming service. Cozy ambiance. For more details check out my video review on YouTube. Search for ‘Trattoria Angiolino Happygoluckytravel’.
We found this restaurant walking down this street, walked in and made a reservation for that evening. Absolutely delicious dinner, Oso Bucco with mashed potatoes. My husband ordered a delicious filet. I ordered flaming cream crepes with grand Marnier for dessert. Staff was very friendly...and the Chef was fantastic! Definitely want to go back!More
We came back to this restaurant after enjoying a meal there in 2019. Florence is full of restaurants, give this one a miss. It was very disappointing. The service was lousy, the attitude was appalling, both the chef and the waiter were smoking behind a...pillar in the kitchen. The bistecca fiorentina was average.Don’t bother. We won’t again.More
We've been here 20 times over the past 2 years. We've been to at least 50 different restaurants in Florence and this is one of our favorites. The food is fabulous and service is good (sometimes slow when super busy, but thats Italy). Lunch and...dinner are an experience, not a dine and dash if you seek a quality restaurant. Wine selection is good but limited. We love the ambiance and cozy family feel of Florence. I highly recommend it.More
I should start by saying that I hope the owners read this feedback and make the changes as I WANT TO COME BACK! This was my fourth visit - I always come here when I’m in Florence, and the first 3 visits were consistently excellent....Tonight, however, was not. The place was packed - there were more tables rammed in than I have ever seen, and we (2 of us) were seated at a long table for 6 in between two other couples (not very private). The staff were rushed off their feet, we had our order taken, but were not visited once during our meal to ask how it was, offer us more drinks… other tables were given bread, we weren’t. Our food was literally thrown down in front of us without so much as a “buon appetito” because the staff were so busy. There was hardly any service, kindness or welcome at all. But the worst of it… the food was just ok. I ordered the Rigatoni, which is by far the best pasta dish I have ever eaten anywhere. I always order this, and it is always amazing. Until tonight. Hardly any sauce, much smaller portion (see image) and the bacon wasn’t cooked in the sauce, but pre-cooked to within an inch of its life and sprinkled on top. It was hard and tasted of nothing but salt. My assessment - they were too busy, understaffed and both the food and service suffered because of it. We went to the bar to pay (there was no chance of getting a waiter to bring the bill to the table) and the waiter asked if everything was ok. I said “not as good as usual. You’re very busy, and you look very stressed”. He simply shrugged and looked away, no apology, not even a smile. He might not have understood me, but still. To be fair, the staff looked miserable, and we heard a number of other customers around us complaining about the service. Unhappy staff and unhappy customers does not bode well for the future. Angiolino - please sort this out!!! Your restaurant was one of my favourite in the world, but after tonight, I won’t rush back. But I hope you take note of this and fix it so you can get back to being the extra special place you once were.More
We enjoyed Excellent food and wine including Florentine Steak for the first time. The service from the young waiters was also informative as well as executed well. The only negative being seated in a side room off the main dining area where the ladies toilet...is situated. The door slammed loudly each time some one entered or left which spoiled the general ambiance and also made some other diners jump. I suggest this is resolved.More
Exceptional local spot, recommended by our tour guide. We tried as many items as we could from the menu, all were delicious. One of the highlights was our table could see into the kitchen, and they were cookin' (pun intended).
Delicious fresh food, great menu and good service. This was recommended to us and would highly recommend to others
What a charmig and tastefull restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is lovely. We had todays special which the waiter highly recomended. No mistake. It was super.
The waiters were very polite and professional, on hand when you need them without sticking their heads on our plate. The food was exceptional! Also, their recommendation regarding vine was excellent also. True Italian place to eat without the headache of overcrowding place!
Food was decent. The entire meal was rushed by the the woman in charge. From ordering to repeatedly asking us if we’re finished. When our waiter offered dessert she angrily said no to him and brought us the bill. After the bill was paid she...immediately said “sign it”. We were basically rushed out the door. We were only there for less than an hour. There was a table of 8 next to us that was there longer than us still enjoying their entrees when we were hurried off. Maybe they don’t prefer tourists? Who knows. I left a good tip anyways…. The service from the waiter and runners was good and I didn’t want to penalize them for their boss’s behavior. Hopefully the extra cash made it into their pockets.More
This is exactly what I imagined a Tuscan restaurant would look like, dark wooden furniture, elegant iron chandelier gives that rich, warm inviting vibe. We ordered Bistecca alla Fiorentina for two to share, it was a huge T-bone steak about 1kg char grilled to perfection,...still rare in the middle, although it had a huge bone and we tried our best, unfortunately couldn't finish it all, one of the best dinners we had during our 3 weeks travelling in Italy. Highly recommended. Suggest you email the restaurant, their friendly staff will make a reservation for you, it gets busy dinner time.More
Excellent restaurant with more locals than tourists. The steak Florentine was very good, as well as the recommended wine. The highlight for my wife was the creamy truffle pasta, which she talked about for days!! It was one of the more expensive meals we had...on our trip, but we went all-out!More
