Great location near the park and old town. Pretty spacious table layout. Some very tasty dishes, especially the fish. Interesting look and feel driven by its old town location. Really solid
Good location in old Geneva. Food good, with very small portions. Wine mediocre. Expensive! a fixed-menu (agreed for 40 people) with main dish and dessert: 65 CHF with few wine and rushed service
This is a really nice surprise for Old Town Geneva. Its good n Quality food, good service and great historic location. Its right at one of the main old Gates of the old town. Just above average prices, ok.
This restaurant remains as our favorite for entertaining out of town guests. The menu changes seasonally and new additions never fail to impress. Skipping the appetizers here would be a huge mistake as they are especially creative. Service is always attentive but sometimes can be a bit slow when busy.
We wandered into this joint in Vieille Ville simply because the menu looked interesting. Inside it is busy and crowded, but the noise level is tolerable and the place is pretty comfortable. There is nothing on the menu that I would not be eager to sample. In the event, I ordered pate de lievre followed by a ballotine of plaice... More
Torrential rain forced us to shelter under the umbrellas of the Cafe Papon. We liked the look of the place so decided to order a beer, which then lead to us ordering some food. The prices are very high, however this is the same throughout Geneva, so stop complaining and you will enjoy a real treat at this cafe. I... More
The restaurant is located at the top of the hill in Old Town not too far from the Reformation Wall. It is one of the best restaurants in Geneva. The food is wonderful. The menu is limited, but changes at least seasonally if not more often. The wine list is small but nicely varied with French and Swiss wines. Everything... More
When I call for a table, I hate two type of answers: first "oooh, you're lucky, there is avalability" and second, "no, you must seat at this table, because you are only 2 (or 3 / 4) and not 3 (or 4 / 5)". Papon does both and goes on in the same style as soon as you arrive. 17... More

Please eat at this restaurant! The view, service, cuisine and value are unmatched not only Geneva....but Europe! We ordered one "Menu" (amazing Foie Gras, Sea Bream and chocolate mousse) and one main fish dish (Dover Sole). The view of the French Alps was spectacular and oh yes we ordered a Pinot Gris from a Geneva winery......total bill $148CHF.
