Swiss, Bavarian and classic cuisine abound on the menu of this restaurant which has been in operation since 1862. The service was amazing, attentive and polite, however the food was not what the 65 CHF main meal would call excpetional, but one would call mediocre. Like going back in time, to famouse city restaurants in Paris, Wienna or Zürich. Genuine art on the walls, waiters in black and white uniforms, a headwaiter who only deals ind reservations and greeting of guests. What a treat! The food is good, but why is the menu in french? Before i went to Zurich I heard this restaurant was a tourist trap whose better days were long behind it. But I decided to go anyway to see for myself. So glad I did.
