Fairly original cuisine, without losing touch with the basics of good french cuisine. Fresh ingredients which were perfectly cooked. Service was a bit slow with the drinks. Atmosphere: good for a night out with friends in an informal environment. Too crowdy and noisy though for a romantic dinner. more

A difficult place to find as the street isn't on most tourist maps so get your hotel to mark it for you. A vast restaurant run very efficiently run by pleasant and efficient staff. Chose this restaurant as an evening celebration, recommended by our hotel proprietor, Lonely Planet and Dorling Kindersley. Quite busy and as we wished to eat outside had to wait 30 minutes. We stumbled across pakhuis behind the main shopping street on one of our days in ghent, decided to book, they only had one table for 2 at 9.45 on sat night and that was at midday, which we booked as pakhuis was recommended to us.
