This place is one of my favorites in Leuven. The food is good (basic Belgian), affordable and the setting is cozy if you're inside and really pleasant if you're sitting outside on a nice, sunny day. Very nice student atmosphere, good deserts. The food menu could be it more elaborated, because only bread, salads and pasta does not always match my taste of the day more

"De Werf" means "The Yard". Didn't see any construction workers, 'though. It's popular with pupils, because it's cheap. The couple next to us had lunch for only €4!? De Werf is a small restaurant located in the centre of Leuven, it's very cosy and has a terras the whole year around. Best for a quick bite or small lunch. Major disadvantage is that the restaurant is well known with the students and it's rare to find a free table :(. more
