We came here for lunch and enjoyed it. Cosy vibe and local produce. We had a good meal, good value for money and clean. Fresh food and it got busier as we left. Hidden away from the tourist places!

Finally a Portuguese Restaurant in Old Town that serves authentic Portuguese food at reasonable prices. The lunch menus was a choice of Codfish a Bras style and a pork tenderloin w salad and fries each costs Euro 14, and we just has tap water which...was cold and tasty. The fish was excellent and quite a large portion, the pork was cooked perfect and a good size portion. Lunch on a Saturday 2nd of March. Would definitely return.More
Found this restaurant by chance but what a surprise. Staff were so warm and friendly and the food was immense. Went for seafood rice for 2 and third option was fillet steak. Nicest fish dish I’ve had here
We didn't come to Portugal to eat British, American, Chinese or Indian food, yet it's everywhere. It was great to find a true Portuguese restaurant with authentic food run by a friendly staff. This was the best meal we had in our time in Portugal,...hands down. On the whole, we are disappointed with Albufeira. It's filled with seniors walking around during the day delighting in their own ethnic food. At night, I imagine the town centre is filled with people partying. That this place wasn't packed for lunch is a testimony that the word hasn't gotten out. Well, you've heard it from me. This is the only thing here that would every prompt me to return. If you don't go (and settle for something like an Irish or British pub), it your loss.More
Good food. We had octopus and paella and they were well cooked. However, we were overcharged for what they said it is filtered water in their restaurant. We ended up paying 8 euro for two half a litre bottles of water that were not bottled...mineral water, so that was disappointing.More
Excellent food. Excellent service. Diverse menu that will satisfy anyone. Will definitely return. Samosa was crisp and flavorful. Naan with garlic and chili delivered the perfect level of spice. Lamb vindaloo was perfectly seasoned. They added spice to the chicken korma upon request and it...too was delicious.More
If you’re a seafood fan this is the place for you! We had paella the first night and returned to sample a Cataplana. Both dishes were plentiful, delicious and had generous portions of fish. I can’t wait to return!! It’s a small family run restaurant...and the hospitality is wonderful!More
Everything was perfect. Food was delicious, staff was friendly, prices are ok. We had black paella and it was very good.
I’m so glad we found this wee place away from the bustle of the old town square. It had such a nice feel to it sitting on a quiet lane. I got a fillet steak with chips and peppercorn sauce for only 22 euros and...it was absolutely amazing. I asked for it to be cooked rare and it was perfect. It was a proper good cut of meat too, big portion! Service was quick and helpful. Great wee place!More
Delicious! Had the grilled octopus and tomato salad. The service was charming and kind. The food was amazing! Others had the paella and that too was delicious!
We had 2 fillet steak meals they were dry as stiks horrible. Starter 2 garlic bread fine . Bottle of red wine ok. Irish coffee and an ice cream lovely. ..70 euros complete rip off . Worst meal and most expensive of our 10 day...holiday. 😪More
We ate here last night as a family of four, specifically based on the reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Superb paella and prawns served by a lovely local family. Well worth ignoring all the menu waving restaurants on the way.
Found this gem last year. Delighted to be back for me. Lovely family run restaurant. Kids and adults shared both the chicken and seafood paella. Washed down with wonderful sangria. Busy spot, tbh lucky to get a table.
Choose to eat here on the first night of our short trip away, due to the other reviews - was not disappointed. Enjoyed so much we ate here each night. Friendly local restaurant just around the corner of the busy pubs/restaurants. Very good menu choice...- lots to choose from. Can specifically recommend the grilled octopus, and a superb prawn cocktail. For mains the fish paella is very good, also the monkfish and prawn skewers, but the best was the Seafood Campanella for two, and desert is their orange, or coconut, and specifically the lemon ice cream. Highly recommended place to eat.More
The food took 40 minutes to come and when it did it was completely tasteless. We had the monkfish and the chicken paella and we had to ask for salt and pepper, it lacked any seasoning. The setting is nice but the food had no...taste, unfortunately we left very disappointed.More
