We used to love the Raj. The food is great, the portions not very big though. We have found for a while now though that they have put their prices up and it is fairly expensive for an Indian meal, especially given the portion sizes are not generous. More

This restaurant is really worth a visit connected to the Holiday Inn Algarve with a varied menu of freshly cooked dishes a must if you like Indian cuisine and all at a reasonable prices. There is a great view over the ocean and I believe it is possible to eat on the terrace in the summer but you may have... More

Stayed at the Holiday Inn so one of the hotel restaurants. Decor is actually less plastic than some of the illustrations seen online, but essentially marble with few Indian prints. On the positive side, they don't use food colouring. The herb/spice mix used for the lamb tikka was not to my taste nut that's personal. Curry sauces tend to be... More

Stayed in the beautiful , quiet , child friendly resort of Armacoa. As being a weekly curry lover of asian food while sampling restaraunts all over the uk when working away from home. I can pretty much say i rate myself as a good curry guide. Like all we decided we must go for a curry while away on our... More

I've never gone to an Indian restaurant for the ambiance; this is an exception. Gorgeous waterfront deck facing the surf matched with excellent food and service made this a memorable night. All the Indian stand-by dishes were about as good as you'd find in London or NYC, but the location makes it so much better. More

Kids were well catered for and my daughter loved chiken tikka & rice she had from kids menu. My Chicken Kalhari?? ( one of house specials)... More

Loved The Raj, ate here twice during our holiday. Both the Chicken and Lamb Tikka were really good, very tender and spicy. The portions are quite large so the second time we ordered more starters and then shared a main meal and rice, which also came with salad...more than enough for two people. The staff are lovely and go out... More

Loved having this in the hotel - it made for a really lovely time - especailly as the hotel buffet was not great. beautiful surrounding and being able to eat on the terrace was lovely - but just wish the waiters were more friendly - also wished theyd wait till you finished one course before popping down the next! teething...
