Some years have passed and maybe now it’s different, but a couple of years ago, the last time I was over there the food was ok but not even near the price you pay for it. For that money you can have a really better meal on a more pretty restaurant. more
I was in Lisbon for work in fall of 2006 and had one of the most memorable meals of my life at XL. Service was incredible and I still remeber the squid-ink pasta and delicious Douro wine. XL is a local restaurant just across from the parliament building and not far from the Estrela Square and church. The interior is nice, calm and light and has a cozy atmosphere. XL is only open for dinner. We lived in the neighborhood for a week during a summer holiday and were dining there a couple of times. Arrive early... more
