Food is great. It is place that you can just pop in and have quick a bite. Best that it is next door to concert venue.

The best restaurant with Russian traditional cuisine. Here you can try traditional pancake with various toppings. All products produced by owner and without preserving agents. Good Russian atmosphere. The personnel can talk in Russian, Finnish and English language. Also you can spend your time with family.
With local knowledge we headed here for lunch with 3 kids. This russian cafe is brighly coloured and pleasant with a great view of one of Alvar Aaltos Helsinki legacy buildings the Culture House. Interesting filled pancakes and lovely corgette fritters filled us up. The russian kvassi was an experience!
Very cosy and nice place, extremely good value for money. We have ordered each different soup and then eash a pancake which was bit too much to handle. Food was really really good, what would you expect homemade food to taste like. Traditional Russian cuisine and decor, something what you can not even get elsewhere in Helsinki. I will come... More

Very delicious although affordable price. You can meet Russian traditional fancake. I will stop by when coming near here.
Upon entering the restaurant you will get to a small room with an unusual interior. Inside the restaurant is quite cozy. I liked traditional food, especially pelmeni with red sauce. Child ordered a pancake with ice cream, he liked it too. I could certainly recommend to visit it in Helsinki.
Blinit is quite misleading as there are no blinis, only pancakes. The prices are very good, especially for Helsinki but this is a cafe not a restaurant. Decor is modern with a twist, the traditional Russian decoration making it feel quite cosy. The food is plain and simple with no extras (salads, garnishings, etc). We tried pancakes with mushrooms &... More
This is something we need more in Helsinki. Young friendly and enthusiastic people running a small simple establishment. Tasty no nonsense food. Generous portions and unbelievably low prices. This is NOT fine dining. This is something very Russian. In totally positive way. Their food is basic simple and tasty. No frills, but you will leave full and happy.
