Crowded and chaotic, but the open-face sandwiches were good. Ordering and picking up drinks is a bit confusing, and on a cold day the tables outside reinforce the fast food motif. more

Neat little old storefront restaurant in the middle of the city. Most people probably go here because the tour books say Kafka ate here. Little bite size sandwiches and little mouth-fulls of beer. The name is of Czech/Bohemian origin and the joke that no-one (German speaking, at least) really knows how to pronounce it correctly. Their base is in Dorotheergasse, just off Graben in the Old Town and about 30 different kinds of Brötchen ("sandwiches", but nothing like what an English speaking person would call sandwiches) are on offer.
